Editor at Fextralife. I look for the substantial in gaming and I try to connect video games to the emotions and stories they elicit. I love all things culture and history and have an odd fondness for the planet Jupiter. I think my dogs are pretty awesome too.
Thanks, unsure if i want the dlc, love the way the game looks but battle system ruins it for me, doesnt feel like Final Fantasy.
thought you might be interested. Even tho you’ve finished it.
Does anyone know how to get the Marlboros to spawn the brats or sprouts so I can get some vines. Trying to collect all items in the game
I’m in the same boat. Just can’t seem to bring myself back into it. Personally, this game was a huge letdown for me. It almost feels like a reverse FFXIII; open world with tons of unused space, loads of BS quests that would make any first gen MMO’s seem fun and interesting, god awful writing and character development (not that XIII’s was great, but still loads better than XV’s), and somehow they managed to streamline an already shallow and boring combat system.
Glad Persona 5 is right around the corner.
This game was even a bigger let down than FFXIII was. A massive and detailed open world couldn’t save this game from it’s mediocre mechanics, boring fetch quests, and a terrible story. I’ve never cared so little about about character before. On topic though, a game like this (offline, single player) shouldn’t have updates to key components like spells. Those things should be locked in from the start. Changing them now makes it seem like the game was rushed out or the producer is not staying true to his vision and caving to outside pressure. Both of those things just look bad to an outsider.
It’s nice they continue to improve on the game, but I can’t bring myself to pick it back up given how the game concludes.
