There was never any doubt that Final Fantasy XVI would eventually come to PC, just like Final Fantasy VII Remake, which was temporarily exclusive to PS4 before being released on PC.
In the transition fromPS5 to PC,Final Fantasy XVIwon’t gain any special new features. The PC version ofFinal Fantasy XVIwill be priced at 59.99$ and will include the base game.
There will also be a Final Fantasy XVI Complete Edition, which will include two paid DLCs, Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide, priced at 69.99$. Both editions are already available for pre-order on Steam, with launch bonuses like Cait Sith’s Charm, the Wild Heart weapon, and the Sixteen Beels music scroll, if you pre-order or purchase before October 10.
With the launch less than a month away, Square Enix has already released a demo ofFinal Fantasy XVIthat can be downloaded on Steam, featuring the beginning of the game, which can then be carried over to the full version.
As was the case on PS5, after completing the story portion of the demo, you can continue playing in the specially created Eikonic Challenge mode, although progress in this mode doesn’t carry over to the full edition.
