Prepare your adventuring hat as For The King 2 has a closed beta happening fromMay 10th to 16th. Developer IronOak has announced those wanting to participate can sign up via Steam. The closed beta will test the multiplayer functionality. Of course, as it’s a testing phase players may run into small bugs here and there.
Previously For The King 2 was announced last year, the sequel to the rogue-lite of the same name. This time around players will not only venture into the kingdom in solo parties but be able to join friends in co-op. With up to four players to stop the Queen’s terrible reign.
Not only will there be new challenges and new biomes to explore butpetscan be recruited to help in battles. Just how many recruitable creatures will be available is unknown, but the game already looks to have some fun new features. Players will also be able to explore using landboats in between turn-based dungeon crawling.
As you’d expect the second title will continue to have the core features of the first. However, the sequel will have players face the kingdom of Fahrul’s queen 20 years later after the events of the prequel. A focus on strategic decision-making and more customisation when it comes to classes plus more.
