The rumored Astro Bot was made official at the latest State of Play with the first trailer showing PlayStation’s “mascot” in new 3D platforming adventures. After the event, the Japanese developer revealed the first details of a game coming to PlayStation 5 on September 6.
The gameplay confirms that the tributes to the PlayStation universe will continue after Astro’s Playroom, the game included for free with every PS5. “Many of you have asked us for a full Astro game. We’ve listened to your feedback and now Astro is back in a grand space adventure, the biggest one to date,” says Nicolas Doucet, director of Team Asobi.
The little robot will explore six galaxies offering more than 80 levels where Astro’s crew can be found. These worlds include forests, volcanic zones, deserts, and of course, fun enemies – more than 70 different ones – dangerous bosses, traps, and more: “Defeating each boss will reveal a wonderful secret, but we don’t want to spoil it for you, so our lips are sealed.”
To overcome these challenges, we will be able to use more than 15 abilities that modify gameplay: “Among the new powers you’ll find Barkster, the Bulldog Booster, with which you can launch into the air and pass through enemies, metal, and glass; the Twin Frog Gloves, which allow you to punch long distances and give you the ability to swing; and the Giant Sponge to absorb water from the environment to become huge and smash (and soak) everything in your path.”
In a Q&A published on the official game website, it is clarified that it will not be a free game, as unlike Astro’s Playroom, “Astro Bot is a full-sized standalone adventure that offers four times the worlds, 300 robots to rescue, and dozens of new powers and features to discover.”
As also detailed on the game’s website, we will have to rescue more than 150 bots inspired by legendary characters from PlayStation’s 30-year history. It will be released in physical format and pre-orders will open on June 7.
Qooland and Campfire Studios have announced that their new survival game, Soulmask, has already sold 200,000 units on Steam after its release on May 30 as an Early Access game. They are also celebrating user reviews, which are 80% positive.
Soulmask is a new sandbox survival game where, you build a tribe and explore ancient civilizations to uncover the mysteries behind your mask and its strange powers.
As is typical in this kind of adventure, you need to collect resources, obtain food by hunting with a bow, fight against wild creatures like panthers and crocodiles, and build, farm, and recruit members for your tribe. These members will become your family of warriors, and you can assign them various tasks such as farming, production, and guarding.
In terms of numbers, its creators promise 500 hours of gameplay, ten masks with unique powers, seven vast regions covering a total area of 64 square kilometers with numerous different biomes, from tropical jungles and plateaus to volcanoes and snowy mountains, six formidable final bosses, and eight weapon classes with a total of 75 combat skills.
If you want to know more about the game, you can take a look at the impressions we published a few weeks ago on our channel.
Another significant new feature of this version is that with its arrival on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, it offers greatly improved graphics, including 4K resolution, better textures, greater draw distance, and non-existent loading times, making its excellent artistic design look better than ever.
This time around, there will be more interaction with demons, with playable demons in side missions known as Alice and Pixie, and Demon Haunts.
Exploration on the map has been improved to include elements like Magatsuhi for quick travel, a sky view for broader perspectives, and an unobstructed full map view. Atlus confirms there have been dozens of small updates and revisions to make things more interesting and accessible: increased range for collecting relics or reading tutorials at any time.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut has updated once again for the third time since launching on Steam. Patch 3 is a 6.7 GB update that aims to fix audio cutouts, HDR issues, and other bugs that needed addressing. Ghost of Tsushima arrived on PC and Steam Deck after its outstanding performance on PS4 and PS5.
The patch aims to fix various audio cutouts in some specific parts of the game, and additionally improves overall game stability for players using AMD RX 7000 series GPUs.
This patch also fixes an issue that would cause a new game to start with a black screen when HDR is active on Windows 10, which sounds pretty annoying. It also addresses several issues that could occur when combining this HDR with Fullscreen in that version of Windows.
Nixxes also updated the PlayStation PC SDK to version 2.16, with several compatibility improvements for Insider Preview versions of Windows 11. “This update fixes several issues reported by the community and includes stability improvements based on our crash report system data and user feedback,” said the studio.
Several changes have also been made to show the mouse and keyboard prompts correctly during various attacks in Legends mode. They were also able to fix a bug with the ‘A Moment in Time’ achievement, which can now be obtained without issues when using a mouse to play.
“The legendary and terrifying Janthir Islands, filled with mursaat ruins, have been carefully guarded by the Astral Ward magi and, for most inhabitants of Tyria, are nothing more than a distant myth”
“But recent events have convinced world leaders to form the Tyrian Alliance and send the wayfarer to gain new allies. As you search Janthir for the lowland kodan colony, you will explore, fight, and uncover more about Tyria’s mysterious past.”
When Janthir Wilds becomes available on August 20, Guild Wars 2 players with the expansion will be able to explore two new maps where they must forge an alliance with the lowland kodan, the inhabitants of Janthir Island. From the launch day, players will also be able to fight eachother in a new PvP mode, master new forms of combat and exploration, and unlock an estate.
The estate is a personal instance for the entire account with a structure and land that can be decorated and cultivated. This space, which is unlocked and developed through an associated mastery track, can be shared with friends.
Over the three quarterly releases that will follow Janthir Wilds, players will receive new content, continue the story in a third map, craft a legendary spear and backpack, obtain new rewards from the Warlock’s Vault, cosmetic items, relic effects, and more.
Diablo 4 has been out for a full year, and that means an Anniversary event full of gifts has arrived in Sanctuary. Currently, we have Diablo 4 with its fourth season of content, which has been generally well-received by players, after revamping the loot and equipment systems of the game. For the anniversary, we have new weapon skins, mounts, and armor for them, which will be unlocked by logging in from June 6 until the 20th.
The first part of the event will flood the Sanctuary with Treasure Goblins, allowing players to earn some Legendary loot. The Treasured Goblins will be in abundance compared to their usual scarcities.
The Treasure Goblins are also rumored to be traveling in bigger groups, from pairs to a larger pack. The Treasure Bags you can get from them will carry a bag full of Power 925 items, which is perfect for any players starting some new characters. Additionally, new free Anniversary Gift cosmetics will be available for a week on a daily basis.
Publisher Tate Multimedia and developer Trialforge Studio have released a two-minute overview trailer during Guerrilla Collective Event, for party-based Soulslike action RPG Deathbound where gives a breakdown of the combat system, the morphing system, and how you can switch characters and their fighting styles. Deathbound will be available on PS5 , Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Deathbound seems to be much more than just an intriguing idea. Described as an “action RPG set in a world where faith and science are at odds,” it will feature a wide variety of characters. Thus, not everything will be resolved to the rhythm of the music, but we will be able to do so.
Outside of traditional warriors such as heavy knights armed with giant hammers or mages weilding offensive magic, one of its characters will employ this legendary style of dance and martial arts that we have seen in other games such as Tekken. You will be able to gain the skills, memories and identities of fallen warriors throughout the world, combining their unique personalities and combat styles.
