Genshin Impact version 3.7 was announced, titled “Duel! The Summoners’ Summit”. It is focused on the Genius Invokation minigame.
Welcome to Teyvat,Traveler!Genshin Impacthas been onversion 3.xfor quite some time now, and Hoyoverse is showing no signs of slowing down. Well, there’s no slowing down in terms of update cadence. However, Genshin Impact itself is winding down a bit, and letting us relax for the time being. Version 3.7 of the game doesn’t bring new areas, or major bosses to the table. Instead, the citizens of Teyvat will focus on various events and happenings allover the world.
It’s time to kick back and relax as we delve into some of the last major updates before we explore the new Hydro Region in Genshin Impact update 4.0!
Everyone seems to love theGenius Invokationcollectible card game that was added to Genshin Impact. Originallyadded in version 3.3, we are now getting entire events devoted to the minigame.
Each of the four major events will be themed around the Genius Invokation game. Completing the minigames will award various currencies that can be later on exchanged for rewards, including Primogems and other Ascension Materials.
One such event is called the “Zero Hour Invokation” which will have the traveler face off against a seasoned veteran of the card game. There will be three reward tiers in total for this, with objectives ranging from simply dueling him, to achieving victory on the “Serious Showdown” difficulty.
Another thing to note about the Zero Hour Invokation is that it will be more like a draft mode in Magic the Gathering than the traditional style of play. Gamers will need to create their own decks with a limited pool of cards.
Other events in the Summoners’ Summit include the “Tour of Wonders”, “Evermotion Mechanical Painting: Invoker”, and “Heart of the Dice”.
The first, A Tour of Wonders, will have players partake in some sightseeing activities in some iconiclocations. One such area isDiluc’sDawn Winery, where Travelers will take in the sights by waltzing across the building’s roof, collecting various orbs and eventually stamps to prove that you’ve enjoyed yourself.
Next is the Evermotion Mechanical Painting: Invoker. This mouthful of a puzzle has Genshin Impact fans trying to reveal the mysterious artwork hidden behind the perpetual motion machines. Since we’re focusing on the Genius Invokation, each of the art pieces will be TCG themed.
Last is Heart of the Dice, which is essentially a gauntlet of foes that has you collect various elemental Invokation Dice. You can throw these dice in exchange for powerful buffs and effects, making combat easier. The more dice you have of the same element, the stronger the resulting buff will be.
We can’t have a TCG-themed event without some new Genshin Impact Genius Invokation cards, can we? Of course not! There will be new Character Cards, Monster Cards, Action Cards, and Food Cards, yummy! We do know that some major Archons will have their cards added to the game as well.Zhongli,Raiden,Venti, andNahidahave all been confirmed with the character art.
New strategies and deck types are sure to come out of the newly added cards. To try them out, Genshin Impact is introducing a new hardcore game type, the Arena of Champions. This PVP mode will have players create their own decks and duke it out with other Travelers. They will then need to complete 5 wins to win the challenge. However, they can only be knocked out up to three times, else the attempt will be considered a fail.
The Forge Realm’s Temper is another mode, more casual as it is PVE only. Players can customize the difficulty in this mode, as well as choose various modifiers to shake things up.
While we may not be getting a new 5-Star character, we are getting a new 4-Star one instead. Introducing Kirara, a feline heroine being added in Genshin Impact 3.7. She is a sword-wielding Dendro character associated with the Komaniya Express group. As such, Kirara can summon up her delivery cat who can explode on contact. I don’t know why anyone would want to receive an explosive cat, but she can offer one if need be.
Aside from this, we will be getting a repeat for the highlighted 5-StarCharacters. BothYoimiyaandYae Mikowill make their returns during the first period of this update.
