Genshin Impact Patch 3.2 “Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises” Launches November 2

Genshin Impact teases patch 3.2, which includes two new characters, bosses, and even new events.

The creeping flora and fauna ofGenshin Impact’s Sumeru Regionhave been making waves. Ever since the major release ofPatch 3.0, the lush forests, spiritual events, and other creatures have been keeping players quite busy. With the introduction of theDendro ElementandDendro Abilities, even more complexity and options have been opened up for players.

For now, though, the developers over at HoYoVerse have been good at hyping players up for their upcoming 3.2 Patch. The patch’s moniker is quite the mouthful but is sure to bring much excitement, especially for long-time fans of the action RPG.

Our next majorGenshin Impactupdate will bring about two newcharactersinto the mix, and then re-introduce some old favorites for the other banners.

The first character isNahida, a 5-Star Dendro character. Nahida is small in stature and can float in the air much like our favorite Emergency Food, Paimon. She uses nature magic with child-like glee, ensnaring enemies and damaging them alike. Much like other casters, Nahida makes use of a focus as her primary weapon.

Next up isLayla, a 4-Star Cryo character who primarily wields swords. She is a dreamy person, who is battling insomnia on the side as she studies Theoretical Astrology. Her sleepiness also manifests itself in her ability kit, as she often looks to be trying her best to stay awake. Layla’s strongest ability even mimics a mobile used for putting infants to sleep.

In terms of returning characters, it has been confirmed thatYoimiya,Yae Miko, andTartagliawill all make their return. All of these are 5-Stars and are affiliated with thePyro,Electro, andHydro. Yoimiya will be joining Nahida in the Phase 1 Banner, while Yae Miko and Tartaglia will come in Phase 2.

Genshin Impact’s 3.2 update will also bring about two bosses. The first up is the return of the infamousScaramouche, as he brings a new mechanical terror to the land. Our Fatui antagonist will be taking control of a gigantic robot that is hell-bent on our destruction.

This encounter looks to be quite explosive and intricate. The boss itself is elegantly designed, with tons of Electro-inspired influences. It also has a large range of attacks and abilities, and is sure to be quite the challenge for players.

Perhaps it will take multiple attempts for our hero to take down this colossal construct. The cinematic moments involving this machination are also quite plenty, giving off the possibility that this will be quite a long fight.

Of course, it goes without saying that there will be totally new archon quests tied to the Dendro leader. In other boss-related news, our favorite cube bosses will be getting a new friend. Joining theGeo,Anemo,Electro,Cryo, andPyroHypostasis is the Dendro version.

Last up on the major news for this Genshin Impact patch is the Fabulous Fungus Frenzy event. Our friend,Dori, has started a new Beast Tamer tournament. This contest will have players capture different types of Fungi enemies scattered throughout the Summeru region.

As players capture these cute little mushrooms, they can enhance them by cultivating their jellies (don’t ask). This action is done by a simple match-three style minigame similar to Bejeweled.

Once players have been able to assemble a team, they may battle with other monsters. This is basically a Genshin Impact-flavored Pokemon battle. As usual, elemental reactions still play a huge part even in this mode. Each of your Fungi’s elements will play key roles in creating powerful effects.

There also looks to be a mini-elimination and ranking system in the game. Even in Genshin Impact, you gotta be the very best, like no one ever was. Only the best mushroom tamers will be rewarded with Primogems, Mora, XP Books, and more.

Other eventful events in Genshin Impact’s 3.2 update include some photography, Hypostasis boss fights, trials, and a new marvelous merchant. The boss fights and trials are your standard run-of-the-mill encounters, but with some extra limitations and twists.

Asagiri the Illustrator contracts the player to help them with some photography problems. Players will need to find the locations described by her, and then find the correct angle for the perfect photograph.
