Due to the huge mess caused by the requirement of Sony to link aPSNaccount onSteamforHelldivers 2, the team responsible for the PC version ofGhost of Tsushimaconfirmed that the game can be enjoyed without aPlayStationaccount. However, if players do not connect toPSN, they will not be able to access the multiplayer mode.
Sucker Punch’swork contains two modes, either the campaign with Jin Sakai or the multiplayer formatLegendswhere you can slash with friends. It will be the latter that will require linking our accounts onSteamwith the Japanese company’s service, while the open world will be free of this requirement.
One of the most interesting additions thatGhost of Tsushima: Director’s Cutwill bring is the ability to use the PlayStation interface. This way, we can make use of a Friends list, Trophies, Settings, and a Profile, for which it is necessary to link with PlayStation Network.
