God of War Ragnarök is Getting a Free Roguelike DLC Valhalla
God of War Ragnarök: Vahalla is a free DLC that is coming to the game on December 12th. It adds an epilogue that is inspired by roguelikes. Players will venture into Valhalla to face new enemies and even some “surprises”. If you fail, it’s not the end, as Kratos will reawaken to do it all again. The more foes you defeat, the more resources you will gain that can be spent on permanent upgrades that not only affect Kratos but Valhalla as well.
But it won’t be all smooth sailing for Kratos, as entering Valhalla means getting rid of his current armor and equipment. Here, he will earn rewards as he kills enemy by enemy. In Valhalla players will have access to all his weapons and fully-upgraded skill trees. The only limitation is that he must commit to the path of “Spartan Rage” on each attempt.
Coming across temporary Glyphs, choose Stats to upgrade, with Perks to gain and Runic Attacks to master plus more. The fun about this mode, is that each attempt can work out differently depending on the rewards you decide to choose. So this means you might need to change up your strategy accordingly. There are also five difficulty settings, so more challenge means more rewards. The highest difficulty setting is called Show Me Mastery.
God of Ragnarok: Valhalla DLC comes to Playstation 5 on December 12th for free.
