Granblue Fantasy Relink Gran, Djeeta Build Character Guide

Gran and Djeeta are the protagonists of Granblue Fantasy Relink. The Captain is a versatile and well-rounded character perfect for the leader role. Whether you’re a new player or a veteran, understanding The Captain’s abilities and playstyle is crucial since players will have the freedom to shape him or her into specific roles due to the vast repertoire of Skills.

Being proficient in using a sword, The Captain is capable of basic attack combinations that are easy to master in the field, although we see his/her attack combinations as more of a bridge or connecting mechanics to provide better support in combat. In this Granblue Fantasy Relink Gran, Djeeta Build we will go over Skills, Weapons, Sigils and more.

The Captain’s gameplay can be many things since he/she was designed to be the ultimate versatile character in the group to fill in the role of a leader. His/Her main rotations, especially when doing basic attack combinations and combo finishers, increase his/herArtes Levelin combat.

Although he/she does have a handful of offensive skills, I see him/her as a pure support character, and having access to sixteen unique skills, players can shape him/her to be a tank, a debuffer, or the main buffer of the party. His/Her main asset is his/her burst heal skill, and regens, while also having access to Revives. Let’s go over his/her Support Skills or special passives first.

Adept Arts allows The Captain to improve the efficacy of all of his/her skills. Upon landing a Combo Finisher, the Captain’s Adept Arts rises. The higher the Adept Arts, the stronger his/her skills become.

Adrenaline Rush hastens his/her Power’s Raise charge speed when using it after a combo finisher. Although I rarely use this ability, it is nice to have.

Now that is out of the way, let’s move on toThe Captain’s Skills. The majority of his/her skills are straightforward to apply in various scenarios. I will be going through each of them and providing my recommendations as well to give you an idea of how these skills are being utilized.

For the first skill on the list, Armor Break. Armor Break is one of his most used skills, at least in my experience, since this skill can lower enemy defenses by as much as 25%. This skill is very useful against endgame bosses especially if you are dealing with millions and millions of HP, and the whole party can benefit from it.

Overdrive Surge on the other hand is his/her Stun Skill. This skill can also be used when running with a general setup. This skill inflicts a huge amount of Stun upon hitting targets.

The next skill is Phalanx which allows The Captain to grant damage mitigation buffs to the party. This is also one of the crucial skills that he/she needs to have, especially when playing in Multiplayer Sessions and fighting endgame bosses.

The 70% Damage Cut this skill provides is simply immense and it does offer a lot of value to the whole party.

Moving on to the next skill which is Rage. Rage is The Captain’s party-wide Attack Buff. that can increase all party member’s damage by as high as 30%.

Decimate, is one of his/her hard-hitting offensive skills, which is great for both single and multiple targets. I rarely use this since most of the time I am running The Captain as my main or secondary support character. This skill will shine if he/she is built towards the offensive side of things.

Panacea is one of my most used skills in combat. A skill that can provide substantial healing to the party, and it gets stronger depending on his/her Artes Level as well.

Rain of Arrows is one of his/her debuff skills and it can lower down enemy attacks as high as 25% which is valuable for the whole party. The good thing about this skill is it has a decent range and can affect multiple targets. Pair this skill with Armor Break and you are 1 step closer to a debuffer build.

Another debuff skill that lowers the Attack and Defense of an enemy and can affect multiple targets at once, thanks to its decent range. This is essentially the outcome when you combine Armor Break and Rain of Arrows. But the caveat is, that it has a longer cooldown which I don’t see any issue with if you build the Captain with skill cooldown reduction Sigils.

Clarity is The Captain’s health regen skill that can also be applied to all party members. It also cleanses any negative status debuff from the party, so be sure to bring this when fighting a boss who loves to play with status effects.

Reginleiv is The Captain’s basic ranged skill and it does more hits based on his Artes Level. I rarely use this but it has its spot when building him as a DPS.

Stall is another useful debuff skill that slows enemies. Pretty useful especially when building the Captain as a debuffer. The higher the Artes level, the longer the debuff lasts.

This skill caught me off-guard, as I was not expecting him/her to have revives at all, which makes him/her one of the best support characters in the game. The higher the Artes Level, the more HP this skill provides upon reviving an ally.

The next on the list is Veil, which can grant the party with Debuff Immunity for a limited duration. I rarely use this since I just use his Clarity Skill to remove status ailments from the party however, I can see Veil’s usage when fighting a boss constantly applying negative status effects and I encountered one to two bosses that do this sort of strategy.

As the name implies, this skill allows The Captain to Dispel negative buffs from enemies. This is insanely useful especially when running him/her with a skill cooldown reduction build, you can easily strip enemy buffs most of the time.

This is the Captain’s SBA redistributor skill. This is one of the skills that I rarely use as well since there are a lot of better skills in his/her kit, if you will build him/her to be an SBA generator, this skill will fill in that gap.

The last on the list is Substitute. Substitute is one of the best skills that the Captain can bring to the table. I run this skill with him/her, especially if I built him/her as a tank. Getting all the damage by himself/herself instead of his/her allies offers tons of value particularly when fighting endgame bosses.

Now that we’ve covered all of Gran and Djeeta’s skills, here are my skill recommendations. Since the captain can do a lot of roles and can be built differently compared to other characters, I will be suggesting my skill loadout for each mainline build.

As a tank, you want to mitigate as much incoming damage as possible so, I suggest picking up Phalanx for party-wide damage mitigation, using Substitute for even more damage cuts, and using Dispel to strip enemy buffs. Lastly, use Miserable Mist so you can have access to both Attack and Defense Down.

Building Gran or Djeeta as a healer though is achievable. Slot in Panacea first for burst heals, use Clarity to have access to party cleansing, and also provide heal regens. Having Revive is a must for common reasons, and lastly, you can slot inPhalanxfor damage mitigation purposes.

As a debuffer, Gran or Djeeta is super effective and you can start with Miserable Mist to have access to Attack and Defense down. Stall is a must as well so you can slow down targets on a whim, and slot in Dispel so you can prevent possible enemy advantages from buffs. And lastly, you can use Rage to increase your party member’s attack.

Now that skills are out of the way, let’s tackle the suggested build for Gran or Djeeta in Granblue Fantasy Relink. Since the majority of his/her skills revolve around a supporting character, building him/her to have a lower-skill cooldown is a must.

He/She can also be a pseudo-tank while filling other roles such as a healer for instance so increasing his/her overall survivability is at the top of our list.

Starting with his/her weapon first. Since we will be building him/her around survivability and skill cooldown reduction, Sword of Eos is not a bad pickup. Although it provides an Attack Trait, you can easily imbue it with HP Wrightstones or other helpful Traits.

I opted for this so he/she can have at least a little bit of increase of damage so his not hitting enemies like a wet noodle. However, this is completely optional. You can pick Partenza to solidify his/her HP trait more easily and later on tweak with HP andAegis Sigils.

I also thinkDurandalis a good option since it provides Stun. Gran or Djeeta can be a good stunner as well so you do have an option there.

When it comes to Sigils, we will be prioritizing the HP Trait and Skill Cooldown Reduction Traits that will work best with this Gran/Djeeta Granblue Fantasy Relink Build. If your Sigil slots are limited at the moment, prioritize HP and Skill Cooldown Reduction Sigils first.

Note that the tiers of the suggestedSigilsin this setup are not mandatory but the ideal ones, just work with what you currently have. And of course, these are just one of the many builds that you can do with The Captain so feel free to experiment.

When playing on Maniac or Proud Difficulty, enemies can take you down in one to two hits. So increasing your HP with Health or Aegis Sigils will give this build more survivability.

I suggest aiming for at least level 33 for HP Trait and level 24 or more Aegis Trait to gain a substantial boost to HP. As mentioned previously, you are not required to have the same Trait levels, we are just providing suggestions for you to know what to aim for.

Equipping the right Sigils is more important so just equip yourself with what you have, especially in the early parts of the game or when you just reached the endgame.

Cascade Sigils shorten skill cooldowns whenever the user hits a target. The Captain will still attack enemies even though he/she was built as a tank or a support and you will shorten your skill cooldowns by going for this trait. The ideal Trait Level for Cascade should be level 15 and above to have a minimum of 1.5% skill cooldown reduction per hit.

Having a lower cooldown for all of his/her skills is the ideal setup for this build so opting for Quick Cooldown Sigils is a good choice, especially if the Captain is built as a support. The shorter the cooldown, the faster he/she can access skills, mainly in clutch moments.

Aim for at least level 22 Trait for Quick Cooldown to reach that 11.4% cooldown reduction. Of course, the higher the percentage the better.

Since we built him/her with high HP, equipping Provoke Sigils will turn him/her into a real tank. The majority of the enmity will be focused on him/her, and he/she can handle this if you utilize his/her skills properly.

Guts Trait can be particularly useful for those who are adjusting to this Gran/Djeeta Build in Granblue Fantasy Relink. Since the majority of the enemies and bosses will always target you, Guts can save your life when you fail to dodge a lethal hit. This can be replaced by any of the suggested Traits here if you are confident with this kind of playstyle.

Of course, we will be equipping additional Stun Power to bolster our stunning capabilities. Even though his build revolves around tanking or supporting allies, it is also beneficial to include Stuns.

Strengthening overall heals is also not a bad choice especially if you are going to use him/her as the main healer. Slot one of these if you do have excess slots and you will be seeing more potent heals.

Now that we already tackled the build for Gran/Djeeta, let’s move on to actual usage. Building The Captain is the hardest part but when it comes to actual gameplay, everything is almost straightforward. By following his/her command list with basic combo routes, each of them will land on a combo finisher.

As mentioned previously, when he/she lands a combo finisher, his/her Arts Level rises, and the higher the Arts Level, the effects of his/her skills become stronger as well. What I usually do is deal with normal attack combinations, until I reach Arts Level IV.

When I reached this certain level, I would start using skills depending on what the situation demands. Depending on your loadout, and build and based on our explanations of each skill, you will know when or where to use a skill.

For instance, the boss will try to unleash a 1-shot mechanic or a party wiping attacks, you can use the Phalanx Skill to mitigate the incoming damage and save your mates. The Substitute Skill works the same, however, you will be receiving the damage instead. But it shouldn’t be a problem if you have tons of HP. Most of his/her supportiveSkillsare straightforward so use what your party needs.

In terms of party composition, it is without a doubt that the Captain can fit in nicely to any party composition as a support. Adjust accordingly to what the fight requires or the party’s needs.

One party example would be, a well-builtZetaas a pure DPS withSigno Driveto buff the entire party. Following up with Lancelot as a stunner and secondary DPS. Use Ferry to provide secondary support buffs like Attack and Defense Buff. And lastly, The Captain was built as the main healer. He/She canRevivewithout issues or provide more health regeneration to the party.

This is just one of the many examples of what parties can be done with The Captain. With a unique and versatile kit, you can use The Captain anywhere you like. That’s it for this guide, and honestly, the captain surprised me by having sixteen skills available. His entire kit matches his character in the game, a Captain who is always there to tend to his member’s needs.
