Hidetaka Miyazaki Does Not Oppose a PC Port of Bloodborne
Hidetaka Miyazaki, the president ofFromSoftware, does not deny that he would also like aPC portofBloodborne, but he emphasizes the usual point: it does not depend on them, but onSony.
Unfortunately, the dream of seeing a sequel, remaster, or PC port is fading more and more. There have even been fan-made games, such asNightmare Kart (Bloodborne Kart).
It is not a question that FromSoftware can answer because we emphasize that the IP does NOT belong to the creators ofElden Ring.
Taking advantage of the fact that the release ofShadow of the Erdtreeis near (June 21), during an interview withPC Gamer, they did not hesitate to ask the president of the studio if he would like Bloodborne to reach more platforms.
Hidetaka Miyazakimust be tired of these questions, but once again, he showed his enthusiasm for a new version of the gothic soulslike.
One could say that if it depended on FromSoftware, we would have already seen a remaster or port of Bloodborne, but the ball is still in Sony’s court.
In the end,Hidetaka Miyazakitook it well, as he is aware of how much people want a port of the PS4 soulslike.
Would Miyazaki like to see a new version of Bloodborne? It is obvious that he would, even though he says he simply would not oppose such a release.
“I know for sure that these guys want aPCport ofBloodborne. If I say I want one, I’ll also get into trouble. But it’s nothing I oppose,” said Miyazaki, referring to his colleagues Yasuhiro Kitao and Bobby Simpson.
Bloodborne is about to turn ten years old, and it’s the perfect time for it to stop being exclusive to PlayStation 4. Many more players could access a gem of this scale.
ThePC Gamereditor tried to phrase the question differently, so it did not seem like he was conveying a request from millions of players. In the end,Hidetaka Miyazakitook it well, as he is aware of how much people want a port of the PS4 soulslike.
Would Miyazaki like to see a new version of Bloodborne? It is obvious that he would, even though he says he simply would not oppose such a release.
“I think any game like that would be good to have the opportunity for more players to experience and revive this relic from the past. As far as I’m concerned, that’s definitely the case. It’s not something I oppose.”
Hidetaka Miyazakihas been clear. Now it all depends on Sony, which must decide whether the Bloodborne IP remains a great PS4 exclusive game or if it can see the light of day or continue in some form on more platforms.
If you want to play Bloodborne, your only option is onPlayStation. The original version is natively available on PS4, although it can be enjoyed on PS5 thanks to backward compatibility.
