Hogwarts Legacy Gets Delayed for PS4 and Xbox One

The console versions of Hogwarts Legacy were previously to release on April 4th. However, both PS4 and Xbox One players will need to wait now untilMay 5th.

A tweet which was shared on the Hogwarts Legacy official twitter account explained that in order to “deliver the best possible experience” the versions for PS4 and Xbox One would now be coming on May 5th.

When the game was first released, there were a few issues with performance when it came to loading into new areas on PS5. If the console struggles with this on SSD, it will be challenging for last-gen consoles to keep up. The massive open world will surely require further loading betweenFloo Flametravel points. Even PC has issues with performance upon first release, but receive further updates to tackle issues.

This isn’t a good sign for Nintendo Switch players who are also awaiting the magical title to arrive on the on-the-go hybrid. CD Projekt Red managed towork their sorcery on The Witcher 3in order for it to work on Switch. However, the Switch version of a more modern open-world game on its current hardware may have some struggles.
