Hogwarts Legacy’s Switch version will not be released in July, after the announcement of its delay this week pushing it to November.
Hogwarts Legacy’s final platform launch was supposed to happen on July 25th but bad news for Switch fans as it has been delayed. Instead, you can expect to play the magical open-world Action-RPG on Switch onNovember 14thinstead.
The news comes with the unsurprising reason that the port needs more time according to the developer to provide the “best possible experience” for players. BothXbox One and Playstation 4also faced similar delays previously, but those versions have released this month.

The Switch is definitely facing its age as its hardware will need to accommodate more intensive titles. How the portable version of Hogwarts Legacy will run is curious, especially on the now 6-year-old device. However, this is also to do with the game’s dwindling numbers due to its release window “wasn’t perfect” (according to Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick).
Recently Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. have reported Hogwarts Legacy has reached a momentous15 million units sold, which includes current gen console PS5, Xbox Series as well as PC. With the recent PS4/Xbox One releases this will add to that number.
