In Honkai: Star Rail version 2.0, our intrepidTrailblazerwill receive an exclusive invitation from The Family to attend the Charmony Festival in Penacony. This marks a departure from your previous escapades in worlds likeHertaSpace Station and Xianzhou Luofu. Penacony, once a prison, has transformed into a cosmic vacation spot, aptly named the Planet of Festivities in the Asdana System. And it’s due to The Family’s significant contribution.
The heart of Penacony is The Reverie, a colossal interstellar hotel where dreams unfold with the help of the Dreampool. Celebrities are known to indulge in the beauty of this interstellar vacation, which isn’t only dazzling from the outside but also from the inside. The real adventure begins the moment they go back to their rooms and sleep their minds away. They can visit multiple realms and even the Dreamscape thanks to the Dreampool.
Within Penacony’s Dreamscape, the Golden Hour stands out as a lively Dreamscape and the first dream in a total of 12. Picture yourself in a gargantuan metropolis adorned with floating ice cream, lively billboards, and ATMs granting nearly endless currency. The city is frozen at midnight, offering a surreal experience of celebration and pleasure.
But the true marvel lies in Dream’s Edge, a vast dream realm under construction. You can think of this as the place where beta tests are conducted by scholars, scientists, and architects from different galaxies. They’re tasked by The Family to further enhance the Dreamscapes. As Trailblazers explore more, you’ll eventually encounter the Dream’s Eye, which is a device that connects initially impassable paths, allowing you to continue with your travels in the realm. What’s more, is that it’ll allow you to utilize gravity by being able to traverse ceilings and walls by Dreamwalking.
Penacony is shaping up to be the ideal place to be. It’s a haven, one that would give any Trailblazer the peace of mind they need. They can take pleasure in and follow their dreams to their heart’s content. However, the lurking question remains… what dark secrets lie beneath all of this wonder? Surely, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows, right? Will you be able to get to the bottom of things and readily tackle whatever type of danger may come your way in this seemingly idyllic paradise?
Honkai: Star Rail version 2.0 introduces two intriguing 5-star characters to your lineup. Black Swan, a Memokeeper in the Garden of Recollection, makes an unforgettable debut. Her Arcana-inflicting attacks, which stack as a damage over time effect, and the transformation of memories into powerful cards promise a unique combat experience. Once in this Arcana state, Black Swan gains the ability to perform additional actions based on how many stacks she initially accumulated, making her a highly sought-after character.
Next, is the enigmatic masked fool or simply Sparkle, who adds a touch of roleplaying drama. Because of her personality, she can skillfully adapt and swap personalities to play whatever role is necessary. As a master of illusion, she not only increases the party’s skill points but also significantly boosts an ally’s crit damage and advances their initiative in combat.
Misha, a local Penaconian and the doorman at The Reverie, also joins the roster as a 4-star character. Passionate about cosmic adventures, Misha’s Ultimate freezes targets, which is a game-changer in rendering enemies defenseless in encounters. And lastly are the limited 5-star characters such asDan Heng,Imbibitor Lunae, and Jing Yuan who will make appearances in event warps during version 2.0, offering formidable strength in your adventures if you don’t have them yet.
HoYoVerse’s commitment to improving the community’s gaming experience continues in version 2.0. For instance, there’s the Fate’s Atlas that aims to help Trailblazers understand the narrative better by providing a history of events, which have transpired in the past. Meanwhile, the Relic enhancement process has been streamlined. So, while upgrading your gear, you can easily insert materials. Tailored Relic set recommendations for characters also provide effective filtering, allowing you to readily swap between sets by clicking a single button! These are just some of the modifications, and we can’t wait to experience all of them in February.
