Honkai: Star Rail Asta Build Guide

Honkai: Star Rail Asta Build Guide– In this Honkai: Star Rail Asta Build Guide, I’m going to share my Asta Build to consistently buff allies. She’s also capable of dealing Fire Damage, which potentially inflicts the Burn effect. I’ll be discussing the Stats and Skills you should pay attention to, the Light Cones and Relics to strive for, and the Companions to pick in order to highlight Asta’s capabilities as a hybrid DPS and support character. If you’re looking for an early game Level 40 Asta Build, then this Guide is for you!

Asta is a free-to-play 4-star character whom you’d want on your team right from the start. Not only does she effectively boost everyone’s Speed and Attack Stats accordingly due to her abilities, but she’s also capable of breaking the Toughness of enemies and inflicting Fire damage over time (DoT).

However, Asta isn’t as good at dealing burst damage, and nor can she survive taking one massive hit after the next. So you’ll want to include Seele or Dan Heng as your main damage dealers; Himeko, Hook, or Trailblaze (Fire) as a secondary DPS; and Natasha or March 7th to serve as a support character.

Asta follows the Harmony Path, allowing her to boost a couple of the stats of her teammates. As such, having her with you is incredibly beneficial in order to defeat enemies quickly even in long-winded encounters. To build Asta properly, you’ll want to invest in boostingCrit Rate,Crit Damage, andAttack.

It might seem strange to amplify her Crit Rate, Crit Damage, and Attack considering that she’s not a specialized damage dealer. But it’s precisely for this reason that increasing these respective stats becomes more essential. Because Asta is a support and DPS hybrid with buffing as her main role, she’s not adept at offensively engaging enemies. So the Crits and Attack will help her deal Fire Damage more effectively.

In relation to this, there’sBreak Effect. As soon as Asta inflicts Weakness Break where the target’s Toughness becomes 0, she’s able to deal more Fire Damage in succeeding turns. Because of this, it’s going to be easier to put down foes, especially those who are weak against Fire. And lastly, she should have a highEnergy Regeneration Ratein order to be able to spam her Ultimate. Doing so will boost everyone’s Speed, especially when they need it the most. Speed will help execute actions faster and more often whether it involves debuffing foes, inflicting Weakness Break, or simply dealing damage.

When it comes to Asta’s Eidolons, you’d ideally want to gain access to all of them withAurora Basks in Beauty and Blissat Level 4 as the top priority, followed byMoon Speaks in Wax and Waneat Level 2, andGalaxy of Dreams in Calm and Comfortat Level 6. Aurora Basks in Beauty and Bliss increases her Energy Regeneration Rate by up to 15% provided that she maintains 2+ Charging stacks. This is quite easy to do as she’ll keep activating her Skill anyway in order to hit as many enemies as possible.

Next is Moon Speaks in Wax and Wane, which prevents Asta from losing any Charging stacks in the succeeding turn as long as she triggers her Ultimate. So she essentially keeps her Attack buff for longer. And finally, there’s Galaxy of Dreams in Calm and Comfort that reduces the number of lost Charging stacks from 3 to 2.

In this section, we’ll talk about Asta’s Skills and Traces together with what you should prioritize in combat.

When it comes to Light Cones, the ones you’ll want to chase after for Asta’s kit are Mediation, Dance! Dance! Dance!, and But the Battle Isn’t Over. Mediation is a 3-star Light Cone, which buffs the Speed of all allies at the beginning of combat but remember that this only lasts for 1 turn. It’s a good starter weapon that you can ascend to about Level 30.

You should then switch over to a 4-star Light Cone called Dance! Dance! Dance! the moment you get it. So when Asta uses her Astral Blessing Ultimate, the actions of all allies will be “Advanced Forward” by a certain %. This means that they’ll most likely instantaneously move up the Action Order to attack much sooner. It’s an amazing buff in addition to already boosting their Speed to execute skills more often.

The end goal for Asta’s build is acquiring the 5-star Light Cone known as But the Battle Isn’t Over. There are a lot of things this weapon triggers when she uses her Ultimate and Skill. When Asta activates her Ultimate, she gains a skill point, and her Energy Regeneration Rate increases, which works hand-in-hand with the Aurora Basks in Beauty and Bliss Eidolon. These benefits will only take effect once after every 2 uses of the Ultimate. On the other hand, when she activates her Skill, the immediate ally who will execute an action gains a damage increase during that turn, which greatly synergizes with damage dealers. If they’re support characters though, they can instead use their Basic ATK if they don’t need to buff or heal any of their teammates.

In terms of Relics, it’s important to remember that for the Head and Hands, your character gets a flat HP and Attack bonus, respectively. This isn’t the case for the Body and Feet, which are comprised of random stats such as Crit and Break Effect %. Ideally, you’d want to equip 4-star Relics since they provide 2-3 substats in addition to their main stat. But remember that regardless of the rating, enhancing them for every 3 levels will yield a random substat. For a Level 40 Asta, it’s enough to level up her Relics to a maximum of +6 for 4-star gear until you get their 5-star versions to reserve enough resources by then.

For Asta’s Relics, you can choose between two 4-piece sets such as the Thief of Shooting Meteor or the Firesmith of Lava-Forging. The Thief of Shooting Meteor not only boosts her Break Effect but also regenerates some Energy when she manages to reduce the target’s Toughness to 0. The chances for this to happen are high, especially against enemies who are weak against Fire Damage. The Thief of Shooting Meteor Set can be farmed from the Cavern of Corrosion: Path of Jabbing Punch.

Alternatively, Asta can wear the Firesmith of Lava-Forging to focus more on dealing greater Fire Damage when she’s using Basic ATK or the Skill itself. What’s even better is the more you activate her Ultimate, the better her Fire Damage will be for the next attack. For the Body and Feet of either set, you should focus on rolling for Crit, Attack %, Break Effect %, and then the Energy Regeneration Rate.

In Honkai: Star Rail, you’ll have all four characters available while combat is ongoing so you won’t be swapping from one to the next. There also won’t be elemental pools left behind. Instead, you’ll focus on the enemy’s weaknesses to deplete their Toughness and HP accordingly. For this Asta Guide, I’ll be sharing the best characters to go with her and how effective their skills are for this build.

For your main DPS, you’ll want to choose a Hunt Path character who can obliterate elites effectively, and no one does this best than Seele. Seele is not only incredibly fun to play but she’s also quick on her feet and has the ability to execute several actions spread out in multiple turns. Her notable abilities include Thwack, Sheathed Blade, and Butterfly Flurry. A good free-to-play alternative to this character is Dan Heng except that he deals great Wind Damage instead of Quantum Damage. He’s a decent DPS to have around because of how high his crits are. Dan Heng can even slow a target down with his Cloudlancer Art: Torrent Skill.

To improve survivability, you’ll want to go for Natasha or March 7th. Either of them are good options with Natasha focusing on restoring HP whereas March 7th can conjure one Shield after the next. If you prefer an all-around healer for the benefit of all allies, then it’s best to select Natasha. But if you want a hybrid who can also freeze enemies in place, then I suggest choosing March 7th.

Last but not least, you can choose Fire damage dealers such as Himeko, Hook, or Trailblazer (Fire). On top of dealing DoT with the Burn effect, their Fire Damage increases by a certain % when you unlock Asta’s Ignite Ability. As a result, you’re more likely to effectively destroy and burn enemies to a crisp.

Asta is an all-around character who is not only reliable when it comes to buffing her allies’ stats but she’s also good at inflicting Weakness Break. When it comes to skill rotation, you’re going to want to prioritize activating the Astral Blessing Ultimate followed by her Meteor Storm Skill to boost everyone’s Speed and Attack Stats consistently. Lastly, Asta will only make use of Spectrum Beam when she needs to save a skill point.

Lastly, when you unlock Planetary Ornaments, you should choose the Fleet of the Ageless. This significantly boosts Asta’s Max HP so she can live longer in fights. Once she reaches a specific Speed value, everyone’s Attack, and consequently their damage, increases.
