Honkai: Star Rail Tingyun Build Guide

Honkai: Star Rail Tingyun Build Guide– In this Honkai: Star Rail Tingyun Build Guide, I’m going to share my Tingyun Build to boost the capabilities of allies as effectively as possible. I’ll be discussing the Stats and Skills you should pay attention to, the Light Cones and Relics to strive for, and the Companions to pick in order to make the most out of Tingyun’s buffs. If you want to play as a specialist who grants a consistent stream of Energy and amplifies the target’s damage, then this Level 40 Sushang Build Guide is for you!

Tingyun is a versatile 4-star character who excels in transforming damage dealers into killing machines. This is due to the Attack and damage boosts she grants together with providing Energy every time she uses her Ultimate Ability. She also has enough Defense boosts to remain relatively durable in combat.

But for Tingyun to fully succeed, she’ll need an amazing team consisting of Seele or Sushang who will serve as the main DPS. Additionally, Natasha will be there to heal everyone together with Pela to greatly render targets vulnerable so they end up taking greater damage.

Tingyun follows the Harmony Path, which means that she excels at buffing some of her teammates’ stats to make them more effective in combat. Although she does a bit of Lightning Damage on the side, she truly excels at her support role and is considered very flexible in adjusting to the requirements of the team. To properly build Tingyun, you’ll be investing inAttack,Speed, andBreak Effectfor both her main and substats.

Having a decent Attack value helps Tingyun deal better Lightning Damage. However, it’s primarily used to scale the Attack boost she provides allies with. So the higher this stat is, the better her target’s Attack and subsequent burst damage will be, allowing them to effectively obliterate enemies. Next is Speed. A high Speed Stat allows Tingyun to execute abilities frequently in combat to consistently be able to buff her team. It’ll also help push her up in the Action Order.

And last but not least is improving her Break Effect since she still deals the occasional Lightning Damage, which can possibly inflict the Shock effect to deal Lightning damage over time (DoT). Doing so will ensure the effectiveness of Tingyun’s overall damage once the target’s Toughness hits 0.

When it comes to Tingyun’s Eidolons, reaching Level 6 should be the main goal to push her support abilities even further. The first Eidolon that greatly improves this build isGainfully Gives, Givingly Gains, which can be unlocked at Level 2. What happens here is that the target who enters the “Benediction State” via Tingyun’s Skill will regenerate some Energy right after slaying a foe. At most, this can occur once for every turn as long as they keep putting down their targets.

At Level 6, Tingyun gains access toPeace Brings Wealth to All. Upon activating her Ultimate, she gets to restore a larger portion of an ally’s Energy. This can certainly make or break encounters, especially challenging ones where they’re pushed to heavily rely on triggering their own Ultimate Abilities over and over again to destroy high-value enemies. And finally, at Level 4, Tingyun unlocksJovial Versatility. Here, the damage of “Benedicted” allies significantly goes up due to the high damage multiplier.

In this section, we’ll talk about Tingyun’s Skills and Traces together with what you should prioritize in combat.

Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds is an amazing 4-star Light Cone, which randomly triggers a stat boost when it’s Tingyun’s turn to act. Here, everyone’s Attack, Crit Damage, or Energy Regeneration Rate increases. Remember that none of these effects can stack, and each time, a unique buff will be triggered. The only way to completely remove them is if Tingyun gets knocked down in combat.

And the final 5-star Light Cone that you should chase after is But The Battle Isn’t Over. This enhances Tingyun’s Energy Regeneration Rate and allows her to gain a skill point every time she uses the Amidst the Rejoicing Clouds Ultimate. But note that the additional skill point will only be triggered once after every 2 uses of the Ultimate. Next, when she activates the Soothing Melody Skill, the next ally who’s about to act will receive a significant damage boost during their turn. The great thing about it is that the Attack and damage buffs will end up stacking for that same character, potentially letting them one-shot targets.

In terms of Relics, it’s important to remember that for the Head and Hands, your character gets a flat HP and Attack bonus, respectively. This isn’t the case for the Body and Feet, which are comprised of random stats such as Crit and Break Effect %. Ideally, you’d want to equip 4-star Relics since they provide 2-3 substats in addition to their main stat. But remember that regardless of the rating, enhancing them for every 3 levels will yield a random substat. For a Level 40 Tingyun, it’s enough to level up her Relics to a maximum of +6 for 4-star gear until you get their 5-star versions to reserve enough resources by then.

For Tingyun’s Relics, you’ll only need to wear one 4-piece set, specifically the Musketeer of Wild Wheat. It not only increases her Attack but also her Speed and Basic Attack damage as well. The Speed boost is what you’re going to need the most so she can continue buffing allies at a consistent rate. You can farm the Musketeer of Wild Wheat Set from the Cavern of Corrosion: Path of Drifting. For the Musketeer’s Wind-Hunting Shawl and Rivets Riding Boots, you’ll want to roll for Attack % and Speed, followed by Break Effect.

In Honkai: Star Rail, you’ll have all four characters available while combat is ongoing so you won’t be swapping from one to the next. There also won’t be elemental pools left behind. Instead, you’ll focus on the enemy’s weaknesses to deplete their Toughness and HP accordingly. For this Tingyun Guide, I’ll be sharing the best characters to go with her and how effective their skills are for this build.

For your main DPS, you can choose between Seele or Sushang who both follow the Hunt Path. Seele is an exemplary Quantum damage dealer who gains extra turns in combat as long as she annihilates at least 1 enemy with her Thwack, Sheathed Blade, or Butterfly Flurry Skills. Comparatively, Sushang is an excellent Physical damage dealer who is capable of inflicting much more damage the moment she breaks the target’s Toughness.

Next, you’ll want to select a focused support character who will help you and your teammates survive long-winded fights. As such, the best Abundance Path character that fulfills this role is Natasha. Natasha is excellent at healing multiple allies at once thanks to her Gift of Rebirth Ultimate. She even regenerates Energy quickly so that she’s prepared to activate this skill should things go sideways.

Lastly, you’re going to need a hybrid DPS and debuffer in the team to considerably weaken your enemies. The best character for this is Pela who follows the Nihility Path. Not only can she deal Ice Damage consistently while potentially freezing them, but she can also reduce their defenses to a pulp with the Zone Suppression Ultimate in order to receive more damage than expected.

Tingyun is an incredible 4-star Harmony Path character because she’s a highly dependable buffer. She’s more than capable of supplying allies with sufficient Energy and enhancing their Attacks to deal extraordinary amounts of damage. The idea with her skill rotation is to prioritize activating the Amidst the Rejoicing Clouds Ultimate to restore large chunks of an ally’s Energy as well as their boosting damage. Next would be triggering the Soothing Melody Skill to apply Benediction, thereby further raising their Attack while adding Lightning Damage into the mix. And finally, she’ll be making use of Dislodged to hit a target, which will trigger another Lightning Damage from the Benedicted ally.

A decent alternative to Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds is Past and Future, which is another 4-star Light Cone. This will always grant the next ally who goes after Tingyun increased damage during their turn. It’s going to be very effective against destroying foes since your team is comprised of powerful damage dealers.

When it comes to Planetary Ornaments, remember to select the Space Sealing Station. This significantly enhances Tingyun’s Attack, not only by default but also when her Speed reaches a certain value. Consequently, the Benedicted ally’s Attack will be improved.
