Honkai Star Rail just recently got a major update in the form of version 1.2. Titled “Even Immortality Ends”, the update features the continuation of the main storyline.
Fans of the turn-based Sci-Fi spacefaring RPG Honkai Star Rail just got treated to a very beefy update this week. The “Even Immortality Ends” update brings forth so many new things into the game. The most important? We have new 5-star characters and finally get closure for the Xianzhou segment of the story.
So buckle up, Trailblazers! It’s time to re-board the Astral Express!
Whileversion 1.1was purely new characters and events, Honkai Star Rail’s 1.2 update adds more story beats. Trailblazers can finally continue on the story after the cliffhanger back in version 1.0. The new main mission is called “Topclouded Towerthrust”, and has players chasing who initially brought and activated a Stellarion into Xianzhou. Little by little, the true danger will reveal its ugly head.
These missions will also have players go waltzing through two entirely new maps. The Xianzhou Luofu gets expanded even by just a little with the introduction of the Alchemy Commission and Scalegorge Waterscape areas.
Players will also be able to engage in two new companion missions, battle new a Stagnant Shadow (character ascension material bosses), do battle in a new Caven of Corrosion (relics), and face a new Echo of War boss (trace ascension material bosses).
Version 1.2 adds two new 5-Star characters and one new 4-Star character. First up we have Blade, a Wind element character that follows the path of Destruction. Blade thrives on dealing damage by taking damage, which is quite a fun risk/reward style. After taking damage a specific number of times, he automatically attacks enemies even if it isn’t his turn. Blade can also sacrifice his own health in order to strengthen his basic attacks.
Next is arguably a fan favorite, the 5-Star Nihility character Kafka. She, along with version 1.1’s Silver Wolf, are the first people that our Trailblazer encounters. In fact, Kafka is the reason we awoke in the first place, so that’s why it seems fans hold her in special regard even though she is clearly an anti-hero with a selfish agenda. Being on the path of Nihility, Kafka is great at inflicting debuffs and damage-over-time effects on her foes. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait 3 weeks before they can start pulling for the Lightning Diva.
Last is Luka, who is another Nihility character, though uses the Physical element instead. This martial artist is great at causing his enemies to bleed and bleed harder. He will also be part of the second warp banner of Honkai Star Rail version 1.2, along with Kafka.
The update also brings new 5-star Light Cones, namely “The Unreachable Side (Destruction)” and “Patience Is All You Need (Nihility).” Light Cones are powerful artifacts that provide unique boosts and benefits to the characters who possess them.
Honkai Star Rail 1.2 also presents various new events, including “Tales of the Fantastic,” and “Underground Treasure Hunt,”. These events offer players the chance to earn exciting rewards and take on challenging quests. “Gift of Odyssey” is an in-game reward system that grants players some Warp tickets for consistently logging into the game.
Furthermore, players can participate in the “Joint Forces” trial stage, where they can experience the abilities of the game’s 5-Star characters of the basic banner. This includesHimeko,Bailu,Bronya,Clara,Gepard, andWelt. Doing so will award Stellar Jades, Adventure Logs, and Universal Enhancement Materials upon completion. This trial mode offers an excellent opportunity for players to test characters they might not have encountered before and obtain valuable rewards in the process.
Furthermore, Version 1.2 introduces various quality-of-life improvements, including the addition of the “Eye Comfort Mode” accessible from the phone settings. The game also provides hints for stage clear conditions and additional combat objectives during battles, making it easier for players to track their progress and meet objectives.
