Lies of P Development Nearing the Finish Line
Lies of P game director Choi Ji-Won shared that the title is getting closer to wrapping up development.
Lies of P seems to be getting close to finishing up its development as the game’s director Choi Ji-Won shares more on the process. According to the developer, the game is getting much closer to that finish line. Back in August, an interview between the studio Round 8 Studio and the publication 4Gamer, had reached the 70% completion mark, but now it’s reportedly in the final stretch. This leaves mostly bug fixing and polishing to be done.
We announced in August that the game was 70% complete, but now it’s in a much more advanced state. Most of the development has been completed and the rest is in the assembly stage, we are fixing bugs, refining and putting the finishing touches.

In case you missed it, Lies of P is an intriguing title that follows P or Pinnochio as he quests to find his maker Geppetto. While the game does follow the fairy tail written by Carlo Collodi, it has a much darker tale to spin in this Action-RPG adaptation. The game seems to take someBloodborne-inspiration, especially with the first trailer released which the developer earlier said was unintentional. Combat involves an array of weapons including wielding swords, mauls and even uses his left hand to unleash bolts of electricity using the Legion: Fulminis as he takes down mechanical monstrosities.
The game is shaping up to be a dark, fantasy title with some interesting combat, especially with the use of the shock ability, which gives a sort of Bioshock feel to it. The fight in the theatre also reminds me of the one inNieR Automata, which also has its own clockwork nightmares to face. The game does remind me of a recent release Steelrising, but Lies of P takes a different tact following a familiar bedtime story. The game will havemultiple endings, letting your choices rein the outcome of the game.
