The latest Soulslike action-RPG,Lies of P, fromNeowiz GamesandRound8 Studio, has reached 7 million players worldwide. The developer revealed the latest number in a social media post, which seemingly accounts for its success on all platforms including last-gen releases.
From Software was responsible for the creation and success of a new type of game, nicknamed theSoulslikegenre. Many other studios are now trying their luck with the souls formula, with varying degrees of success. However, if there’s one thing many agree on, it’s that Lies of P is one of theBest Non-FromSoft Soulsgames ever made.

Developed byNeowiz, a Korean team that decided to use the tale of Pinocchio to adapt this new world where a puppet had to face all sorts of dangers with the aim of becoming a real boy, albeit with certain nuances to differentiate it from the original Italian work. And it seems that, although there were doubts before its release, Neowiz has managed to make the title a success to the point where it already has aDLC in development.
It is worth noting that if the term “players” is used instead of copies sold, it is becauseLies of Phas been available onXbox Game Passsince its launch, so all those who have played the title through this service have not bought it as such, but they do count in the tally. This does not detract from the impressive number of players reached, but the exact percentage is unknown.
