Lost Ark April 2023 Update Adds Brelshaza Hard Mode and New Gear Tier

Smilegate RPG and Amazon Games are definitelycommitted in having the Western Lost Ark be in line with the Korean version. They are charging full speed ahead with their consistent monthly updates. These patches are by no means unsubstantial, as they are always chock-full of content.
This April, we get to see Lady Brelshaza’s horns grow even longer as the Hard Mode difficulty of her raid appears. We also get to see the emergence of Sidereal (or Esther) weapons, which is sure to have an enormous impact on the game. So, welcome home, Heroes of Arkesia!
Let’s talk about the new encounters in Lost Ark’s April update first. LastDecember, we were exposed to the Phantom Legion’s Queen herself, Brelshaza. Her emergence brought upon a new tier of gear, Relic items, as well as a new accessory, the bracelet. This time around, the Hard Mode encounter will drop Ancient Quality gear and accessories.
The theme, number of players, and most mechanics will remain the same. However, the item requirements for players to even think of facing her have gone up quite a bit. Instead of Item Level 1490, 1500, and 1520 (for gates 1-6), players will need to have reached 1540, 1550, and 1560 to attempt the hard mode version.
With respect toGuardian Raids, the gigantic armored monkey Hanumatan will make his debut. This massive beat is actually the inspiration for the martial artists of Anikka, though the times have changed. Players will need to be item level 1540 to face off against Hanumatan. Just like Brelshaza, defeating this Guardian Raid will reward players with Ancient tier gear.
Arguably the second most exciting announcement for this Lost Arkupdateis the introduction of Ancient Quality gear. There may not be anything too special about Ancient Weapons and Armor, aside from the upgrades from high-level Relic gear can be transferred into the new Ancient items.
Just like most gear, Ancient items can be upgraded to +25. The weapons specifically will get a nice and shiny weapon glow when it reaches honing level 22, 24, and 25.
Ancient Accessories being added to Lost Ark is much more exciting. As it stands, Relic Accessories’ engravings can only top out at +5 and have more variability. Ancient Accessories engravings can potentially roll with +6, making getting more upgrades much easier.
Lost Ark heroes can now potentially earn the weapons of their favorite Sideareals! Introducing a new item type, the Sidereal Weapon will have powerful items that require no honing to level up. These legendary weapons will have new questlines attached to gaining them, as well as a bit of randomness in the form of rare drops required to craft and upgrade.
Additionally, the Sidereal weapons will gain powerful extra abilities that have special trigger conditions. For example, Thirain’s Unity skill will grant the user a chance to receive a powerful stat buff whenever an attack lands. Innana’s Unity skill lets its user occasionally heal massive amounts of HP, and even save some from fatal damage.
It looks to be quite the in-depth system that min-maxers will definitely have their eyes on. The limiting factor in upgrading these items though will be the new random items that can only be gained from the end of the Brelshaza andKakul-SaydonLegionRaids.
Players will also be able to enter the next Tower single-player challenge, the Fortunespire. This will have 25 levels, just like the other towers, and will reward victors with a variety of goodies, such as Skill Points and Legendary Engraving Chests.
Lost Ark’s narrative will also continue with new main quests found on Wisdom Isle. There will be a total of 6 main quests that will be a sort of “prologue” to more upcoming story content.
In terms of cosmetics, we will be getting two sets this month. For the more orderly of us, we will get various butler and maid outfits. Look your best while cleaning up the Legion Demons from Arkesia! The more serious of us will get some demonic Petranian Knight armor skins, perfect for looking fierce on the battlefield.
