Lost Ark November Update Titled “Feast with Friends”, Releases November 16th
Lost Ark sets up feasts with friends in the November update. Major additions include the Reaper Class, Major Class Balancing, and other QoL.
We briefly went about the major highlights of the November Patch for Lost Ark last week. However, this time around, Smilegate RPG and Amazon Games have shared the full list of changes that are coming for the western release of this popular MMO.
Welcome back to Arkesia, heroes. It’s time to be thankful and celebrate a hearty feast with friends this November. For more info on the Reaper herself as well as the Tripod System update, check out theprevious article. November is arguably one of the biggest patches so far, though it may be light on actual new activities.
One of the nicer additions in the Lost Ark November update is called Procyon’s Protection. This essentially is a buff to characters in order to give players more incentive to try out the endgame Legion Raids. Accounts that have not completed specific Legion Raids more than 10 times will receive this buff.
Procyon’s Protection will increase player damage against raid bosses by 10% and reduce damage received from them by 20%. This is a nice enough blessing that will encourage players to learn the mechanics while still being punished for making too many mistakes. The slight damage buff will also make it so that, while learning the ropes, newbies can still achieve some respectable DPS and contribute to the team.
The blessings will be available to all both Normal and Hard Modes of the Valtan and Vykas Legion Raids.
In other new player news, the Mokoko Challenge buff for new and returning players has been expanded somewhat. Players under item level 1370 will deal +20% damage to monsters, and receive -40% damage. New to this update are players within the 1370 to 1415 range. These folks will have their damage increased by 10% while taking 25% less damage.
In the constant effort to combat botting and other unauthorized purchases, there will be some adjustments to the way players generate gold, especially in the early game. It is the hope of Amazon and Smilegate that the various catchup mechanics and new player assistance systems should help players move towards the end-game gold-generating activities.
All Rapport Rewards and Welcome Quests will no longer reward Gold. Instead, these rewards will be replaced by various items or Amulets that will be part of the updated Tripod system. The Normal Mode Oreha’s Well Abyss Dungeons will also grant less overall gold.
In order to help newer players with this major change, honing equipment up until level 1340 will cost Silver instead of Gold.
To prevent inflation in the player economy, a new merchant is being introduced to Lost Ark. This NPC will carry and sell items that can only be purchased with gold, introducing a money sink that players with excess currency can splurge towards. This NPC will be available from now to December 14 (perhaps this is the December Patch Update?).
There’s a huge laundry list of Quality of Life updates in the official patch notes, but let’s go across some of them here.
The game will also have tons of balancing changes across the board. For example, the Hallucination Gear Set will no longer require critical hits to maintain its +13% damage buff. It will now just require normal hits. TheDestroyer,Arcanist, andArtilleristalso got the most notable changes and buffs.
