Lost Ark December update called “Wreck the Halls” brings forth changes to the endgame, a new legion raid, and more!
TheDecember updatefor Lost Ark is in full swing already, as of writing! November brought upon theReaper Classas well as a bountifulFeast with Friends.
Now, winter is upon us, so let’s see what the holidays look like for the citizens of Arkesia!
The illustrious Demon Commander of the Phantom Legion is finally here to terrorize the Western shores of Lost Ark. This is another 8-player instance, but this time it will span a total of 6 gates. Brelshaza will be one of the most difficult encounters in the game, and also demands that players have already invested sufficient time into the characters that will attempt to face her.
Gates 1 & 2 will require a minimum of item level 1490. The next, Gates 3 & 4 will need 1500. Lastly, the final gates will require item level 1520.
Just likeKakul-Saydon, Brelshaza’s encounter will feature a “training mode” that requires a mere item level 1430 to enter. Challengers, beware!
One of the biggest changes to Lost Ark’s endgame systems comes with the introduction of Brelshaza’s Legion Raid. Specifically, is it because of the introduction of a new equipment piece, the Bracelet.
Bracelets are accessories that increase players’ stats and also grant bonus perks. While they do not have any Engravings tied to them, the stat bonuses themselves are significant enough that the perfect piece be sought after.
A new set of Relic Gear is also being added to the game that requires the completion of Brelshaza’s encounter. This requires players to have already completed their Relic Gear from completing Valtan and Vykas encounters and is much more powerful as a result.
The maximum item level thus is 1590, up from 1575. Gone are the days as well when the highest honing materials were Guardian & Destruction Stones and Great Honor Leapstones. Now we will need Obliteration Stones, Protection Stones, and Marvelous Honor Leapstones in order to hone our new and shiny gear.
Players can find Bracelets in all of the new endgame activities brought by this new Lost Ark patch: Void Chaos Dungeons, Brelshaza’s Raid, and the Caliligos Guardian Raid.
The Summoner is the final Advanced Class that was missing in the Western Release of Lost Ark. She will be joining the othermagecharacters, theSorceress,Bard, andArcanist.
Be sure to check out our more detailedSummoner Class informationhere. But in a nutshell, the Summoner is a master of bringing forth elemental creatures to do her bidding. She can make use of lesser elementals that do a constant, steady flow of damage. Alternatively, she can make use of more primal elementals, which have some truly devastating effects when used correctly.
The Lost Ark Wreck the Halls Update will also bring around a total of three Summoner-exclusive outfits.
Just like Amazon Games’ other MMO,New World, Lost Ark will also be getting a winter-themed event. A new island has emerged just this December. Players can sail to Festivity Island (or catch a handy Ocean Liner express) to visit Arkesia’s winter wonderland.
Players will meet a new character, Turry the Polar Bear on Festivity Island. He will have various quests that will grant new tokens Joytide Stars and Joytide Twilight Stars. Both of these can be traded in for some special rewards, hopefully some holiday-themed ones.
The last unique resource being introduced is called Snowflake Powder. This is a special ingredient that players can bring over to their Strongholds. From now until the end of the holidays, players can use the powder to bake special Winter Festival Cakes that will grant various buffs.
Last, but not least, is Lost Ark’s Winter Cosmetic fashion line. The primary set, Neria’s Wardrobe, comes piecemeal and players can mix and match different components. They are a mix of sweaters, hoodies, coats, scarfs, and beanies. Each of these can be dyed and recolored to create the perfect outfit to sit by the fireplace and lounge around.
We can also express our inner fairy and Prince Charming with the new Festival and Ball skin set. These outfits are some dapper-looking suits and fantasy-like dresses, complete with multicolored butterfly wings.
Lost Ark’s Wreck the Halls Update will also bring about two mounts. The first is a Magic Bed, one that can seemingly float around Arkesia, bringing us to wherever we need to. Perfect to stay in and wait for Santa to make his appearance! The other, more unique mount is a gigantic snowball being pushed around by a small snowman. The player character is actually being perpetually flattened by the boulder, looking quite comical as an outcome.
It’s truly magical when you realize that Lost Ark’s western release is almost 10 months old. In a few weeks from now, we’ll be celebrating its 1 year anniversary. Hopefully, we get news on the next class, the Artist, by then. Be sure to also swing by in January when Lost Ark introduces theWitcher 3 collaboration event.
