Marvel’s Midnight Suns Receives Morbius in ‘The Hunger’ DLC
A new DLC titled ‘The Hunger’ adds Morbius into the card-inspired tactical RPG Marvel’s Midnight Suns.
The third DLC character to be released for Marvel’s Midnight Suns is none other than the living vampire Morbius. A new DLC titled ‘The Hunger’ adds the character adding to the card-based tactical RPG. Players can pick up the DLC as a standalone or as part of the season pass.
Morbius deals in applying and taking advantage of bleed debuffs. This goes hand in hand with the other vampire member of the team Blade. Dr Michael Morbius will be in charge of stopping a vampire threat, bringing 11 unique hero abilities to the table. In addition to this new hero, a new Abbey upgrade and cosmetics are available as part of the downloadable content.
As for how Morbius plays, players will need to build up his Hunger meter, with three stacks to call upon his Bloodlust heroic card. This act similarly to how Captain Marvel is played, however calling upon her Binary card. The use of this card is Free, also granting Morbius with Block plus Bloodlust status effect. This applies Bleed damage and counterattacks when his Block is still intact.
He deals even more damage when the Bleed status effect has been applied to his targets. Pairing with cards such as Feeding Frenzy lets him capitalise on damage dealt. The passive ability helps reduce the number of cards needed to fill up the Hunger meter. Levelling up the passive through the Abbey is another way to improve the amount of Bleed damage when Bloodlust is applied.
A more interesting skill he has is his Charm skill card, which lets Morbius control a minion who will then attack a random ally. If you upgrade this card, the minion can be removed entirely. His Mist Form skill card lets him be Concealed, letting him buff his next attack.
Undying Fury lets Morbius apply Bleed, while rather straightforward forward its upgrade can rid Exhaust. It also has the added benefit of only costing two heroism.
Previously developer Firaxis had outlined which heroes would be joining the game, with X-men’s Storm being the last character on the list already announced. Along with Morbius players will embark on story-related missions to the character.
