Mass Effect Andromeda Not Coming to the Nintendo Switch, Possible Release Day Leak

Speaking toStevivor, BioWare’s Michael Gamble said that the studio is open to the idea, but a Switch version is not in active development. According to Gamble, “We’re not planning on it. If the Switch launches and everyone’s just yammering for Mass Effect, who knows,”.

Well, that’s one game to cross off the maybe list for the new console. Rumors have circled that From Software has aworking versionofDark Souls 3on the Switch and are debating feasability, so it’s possible many developers are taking this same wait and see approach. We’ll learn a lot more about the console on January 13th, when Nintendo hosts their direct reveal. For developers and publishers that will go a long way to determine gamer interest in the product.

Mass Effect Andromeda launches this spring for the PS4, Xbox One and PC, for sure. A potential leak today on the Xbox Live Rewards site lists it for March 31st, but at this point with all the past conflicting rumors, who knows?

Post updated to reflect potential release date leak. Ha, at this point, it could be any day in March.
