Monster Hunter Mobile Game in Development
Capcom and Tencent’s TiMi Studio Group are developing a mobile Monster Hunter title.
The Monster Hunter experience is about to go mobile. Just yesterday Capcom and mobile developer TiMi Studio Group owned by Tencent have announced that a Monster Mobile title is in the works. TiMi is behind mobile games such as Call of Duty Movile and Pokemon Unite.
So far no title has been named but it is described to “reproduce the hunting actions that define the Monster Hunter series” on mobile. There is also no release window so far. It’s also a wonder if the game may have a hybrid approach with a PC option such asGenshin ImpactorTower of Fantasy. There was no mention of the platform but a lot of releases these days seem to offer the option to play on PC. Even the mobile gameDiablo Immortalbecame a mobile PC hybrid after its not-so-warm welcome when it was first announced. Capcom could be sticking to a complete mobile experience though as the announcement just mentions “mobile devices and phones”.
Sales for Monster Hunter titles have also been pretty monster. WithMonster Hunter Worldgarnering 18.5 million copies sold. Collectively the franchise has gained 88 million. Monster Hunter Rise came with a number of new features and mechanics such as wall running as well aswirebugsilkbind skills. It also received afree title update in September, adding new layered weapon system, new monstersFlaming Espinasand more.
