Monster Hunter Wildscontinues to reveal new details about its creatures, gameplay changes, and weapons. The latest videos from Capcom are dedicated to the Long Sword, Hammer, and Charge Blade, three of the 14 weapons the game will offer.
“For those who have mastered the sword. Embrace the rhythm of the hunt and strike back in the blink of an eye,” Capcom describes the long sword. “Charge your Spirit Gauge to enhance your attacks. With Focus mode, cut with absolute precision and seal the monster’s fate.”
The Charge Blade is a versatile weapon that can take different forms. “Use the speed of sword mode to charge your vials and channel them into your sword, shield, or axe for spectacular results. With Focus mode, create something that pierces their weak points.”
Finally, with the hammer, it’s recommended to close the distance with the monster and attack its head with powerful strikes that will stagger even the most dangerous creatures.
Monster Hunter World surpassed 23 million copies sold, and its Iceborne expansion also became a major commercial success, so Capcom’s expectations for Monster Hunter Wilds must be very high.
One of the main innovations in this installment is its dynamic and ever-changing environments. “A story of monsters and humans in a world with two faces: one where the land is harsh and unforgiving, where monsters fight for scarce resources, and another where the land is prosperous and teeming with life,” the company describes.
