Netflix Unveils A Sneak Peek of Liam Hemsworth in The Witcher
Henry Cavill’s departure from the seriesThe Witcherwas something we all knew was coming, but now it feels much more real.Netflixhas shared the first trailer of Liam Hemsworth asGeralt of Rivia, marking one of the most controversial casting changes in recent years.
The production is currently filming in the United Kingdom for what will be the fourth season of the streaming platform’s project. Lauren S. Hissrich, the show’s showrunner, explained toEntertainment Weeklyhow the work has been so far.
“His look has been in development for over a year, so it’s exciting to finally share an official preview (…) The cast and crew alike have been impressed by the passion, energy, and embodiment that Liam has brought to the character from day one — scruffy beard, iconic scar, and all!”

There has been no dispute between the two actors, as Hemsworth stated at the time, “Henry Cavill has been an incredible Geralt, and I’m honored that he’s handing over the reins to me (…) I’ve been a fan of yours for years and was inspired by what you brought to this beloved character.” Nevertheless, the fourth and fifth seasons seem to be focusing more on Ciri.
Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and The Lady of the Lake are the novels by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski that will be adapted in the upcoming episodes. For now, we remain without a release date onNetflix.
