New Elex Gameplay Trailer Takes A Closer Look at The Berserker Faction

Piranha Bytes has released a new gameplay trailer forElex, their upcoming open world Action RPG set to release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The new trailer explores one of thefactionsin the game, theBerserkers.

Having found a way to transmuteElexinto pure Mana, the Berserkers are transformingMagalan’sshattered wastes into lush, living woodland. From their capital Goliet in Edan, they range through the world to find places to plant their “world hearts”. Huge plants, able to revitalise the planet. The Berserkers decline any kind of technology, their city looks like right from the medieval times. When it comes to combat, they rely on sword, axes, crossbows … and magic.

Pretty interesting stuff. There will be several factions in the game competing over control of the planet and it’s limited resources, and the Elex substance will play a huge part in that. We had some hands on time with the game at last year’s E3 and are looking forward to seeing how this game develops. Keep checking back with us for more!

Emergence

Editor at Fextralife. I look for the substantial in gaming and I try to connect video games to the emotions and stories they elicit. I love all things culture and history and have an odd fondness for the planet Jupiter. I think my dogs are pretty awesome too.

What makes me weary is the developers history. I hear Gothic was a great series, but its successor, the Risen series, was a failure critically.

The animation is kinda clucky but more than passable. This is definitely one to watch.

If I play this game, this will likely be the faction my main character will join. I love the woods, classic fantasy, and the barbarian culture. My only problem would be their complete abstinence from modern technology. I like nature, but I like Computers and guns too.

I like the post-apocalyptic fantasy aspect of it. Animations look pretty clunky though.
