New World Gains Server Merges Ahead of Season 4

The MMORPG New World gains server merges to counter low populations after expansion surge ahead of the upcoming Season 4.

The New World team announced last week that they will merge some servers to balance the population after the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion that came out in October. These changes have taken place to prepare for Season 4, Eternal Frost.

The announcement first included merges across regions to combine servers that were added during the expansion launch. The population increased withRise of the Angry Earth, so the New World team opened more servers to avoid queues and crowded servers as they did with Brimstone Sands. However, some servers have seen population drops that make them rather empty and less competitive.

The servers that will be merged include the Central EU, US-East, US-West, South America, and Asia-Pacific regions. But the Amazon team said that, after hearing feedback, “No merge will be made to US-East or Asia-Pacific worlds at this time, allowing Octans, Pollux, Orion, and Sutekh to keep operating separately. We may reconsider this in the future if the population changes, but we understand the valid points that were raised yesterday and we will keep them in mind if/when we need to re-evaluate.”

Greetings, Adventurers! Our server maintenance work has concluded early and the world merges are complete! Re-homed characters are now considered available for play!? Merged source worlds have been deactivated and will no longer be found on the world list list. See the…

If you have a character on one of the merged servers, all of the data which includes housing layouts, storage, friends lists, companies and more will have been carried over.
