Nier: Automata Creator Might Do Final Fantasy!?
The creator of the smash hitNier: Automataaction-RPG, Yoko Taro, might be the next person to helm the nextFinal Fantasyinstallment.
In the interview, they were asked in regards to how most of the characters featured in their games were outcasts. Yoko Taro then answers that though he“do[es] not understand outcasts”himself. He stars the archetype because of just how“Everybody is a little bit strange,”and is inspired with“the uniqueness and strangeness of all these individuals.”
He sources stem from“the opinions of friends who belong to these minority groups, and [to] get some inspiration from the struggle that they face.”To which Producer Saito replies:“I’m actually rather interested to see if Yoko-san be interested in working on aFinal Fantasytitle, featuring the similar strangeness.”
The Director seemed quite open about the idea and says:“I’m hoping for a big budget if I do work on it.”Though not a concrete answer, it does stir excitement and imagination as to what kind ofFinal Fantasyexperience we’ll get with him behind its development.
