Square Enix recently announced on the games official Twitter account that Platinum Games critically acclaimed post-apocalyptic action-RPG,Nier: Automatahas surpassed 2 million units sold worldwide.
The sales figure released accounts for all physical units shipped and digital purchases made globally.
In celebration of this, Square Enix has placed the game on sale in Steam as well as on the PlayStation Store with a 35% discount.Nier: Automataisn’t a stranger in making strong sales for Square Enix, as it hasdone a couple of it in the past.

In addition to this, the publisher revealed that the vinyl box set ofNier: Automata / Nier: Gestalt & Replicant Original Soundtrackwill be open for pre-order in Europe and PAL regions beginning on September 25th, exclusively from the Square Enix online store.
The vinyl box set is set to release this December.
Also on the Square Enix store, pre-orders for theNier Music Concert & Talk Live, as well as theNier Music Concert: The Memories of PuppetsBlu-rays are now being taken. You cancheck the storefor more details.
Finally, Square Enix is reportedly hiring for a Nier-related project, however it’s uncertain whether it’s a new piece ofDLCor a sequel.
Nier: Automatais currently available on PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.
