Nightingale To Gain Offline Mode After Massive Early Access Launch

The survival co-op title Nightingale will be gaining an offline mode in future according to a recent dev post on Steam.

Developer Inflexion Games has plans to add an offline mode to the newly released multiplayer survival game Nightingale. The game which was released into early access last week on Steam was met with a peak of just over 47,500 players on its first day. However the game experienced some early access woes such as overwhelming demand causing server issues.

The developer Inflexion had originally stated there would be no dedicated offline mode for the game while in early access but the response from players has now changed the studio’s mind. In a post on the Steam community page, the developer addressed their original plan to make the game “online-only” during early access development. However, because of player feedback, they have decided to prioritise an offline mode and release is “as soon as feasible”.

From the outset the team chose to concentrate on online-only, to focus on the interconnected series of Realms during this stage of development. Some players who are deciding to go solo are met with “network errors” according to Steam reviews. A dedicated offline mode would help those who rather take on the survival alone.

While the offline mode is planned there is no current release date for it announced but they will share plans once they are able to.

In case you missed it Nightingale combines survival, crafting, realm walking and a shooter into a fantasy fae world. It launched into early access on February 20th letting players team up to take on the dangers of what the gas lamp fantasy title has to throw at them.
