Nintendo and The Pokémon Company Have Filed a Lawsuit Against Palworld
Nintendomakes official what many suspected (or expected) and announces on its official website a lawsuit for patent infringement againstPocketpairand its game.
Palworldis played onPC, Steam Deck, Xbox, and Game Pass, and Pocketpair plans for it to come to PS5, but first, they have to stop in court becauseNintendo and The Pokémon Companyhave sued them over patents.
As we read on their official website, the publisher of Pokémon on Nintendo Switch makes it official and mentions a lawsuit for patent infringement against Pocketpair.
It seems that Nintendo was indeed concerned, and the fact that the creators ofPalworldhadn’t received complaints from Nintendo or The Pokémon Company might now be a thing of the past.
“Nintendo will continue to take the necessary steps against any infringement of its intellectual property rights, including the Nintendo brand itself,” they said at the end.All “to protect the intellectual properties that have taken so much effort to establish over the years,” so we may have updates on this matter later.It seems that it’s now official, and therefore, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have sued Pocketpair; the creators ofPalworldwill either go to trial or respond in some way.
