Nioh Livestream Shows New Gameplay Stage & Toad Boss
Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja hosted aNiohlivestream this morning to show some new gameplay for the upcoming Action RPG. The new stage begins in the video below at 43:30.
The stream begins with a showing of the original Nioh trailer from way back when, and then goes through some of the feedback from the beta demo. After a walkthrough of the tutorial, the stream shows some new gameplay from a brand newstagethat features some exterior exploration as well as a structure players can explore.
The stage culminates in a showdown with a giant toadboss! The pipe smoking boss wields a large spear and can perform some powerful charge and jump attacks. The player nearly had the creature down but died tragically to its ranged ability. Smoking kills! Womp, womp.

Editor at Fextralife. I look for the substantial in gaming and I try to connect video games to the emotions and stories they elicit. I love all things culture and history and have an odd fondness for the planet Jupiter. I think my dogs are pretty awesome too.
I wasn’t hoping we’d get actual free content DLC – it would be too generous. But some impressive cosmetics are a neat idea.
Haha, I honestly expected the demo clear bonuses to be minor things, and was anticipating something cosmetic. They are pretty cool looking at least! And yes, I cackled pretty hard when the boss popped up, love the pipe smoking yokai shadow connection.
Huh, I know I shouldn’t complain, but “Mark of the Strong” and “Mark of the Conqueror” sounded a lot more impressive than “here’s a helmet that looks like the boss”. Oh well, still cool thoughAnd that toad boss is awesome!
