One Piece Odyssey New Gameplay Trailer Features Alabasta
Bandai Namco have released a new gameplay trailer for upcoming JRPG One Piece Odyssey.
One Piece Odyssey has gotten a new trailer, this time featuring gameplay set in Alabasta. While Odyssey is set after the events that happen in this location, the game will revisit Alabasta. Memorable storylines will be playable through a feature called “Memoria”. This will take Luffy and the crew on adventures from their memories.
The trailer shows a bustling town with the crew entering Alabasta to their surprise. Luffy can be seen exploring the town in the One Piece Odyssey trailer, and other members entering different areas such as the tavern. Luffy can also be seen scaling cavern walls up vines to retrieve treasure from a chest. The game is chock full of voice acting, demonstrated by Sajin and Cook Krin. Sajin is then put on a side quest to look for some exotic items requested by the chef. Among them are the ingredient of a scorpion leg, tasty.
Players will be able to swap between different team leaders, which puts them into the playable character mode. Usopp is chosen in the video footage, who has a slingshot to knock down high objects. This includes unreachable items to gain such as desert nuts from a bird’s nest. It looks like each character will have their uses when exploring the town.
Finally, we see some of the turn-based combat for One Piece Odyssey. Each enemy has attack-type weakness, and Robin is seen being swapped in from the reserve crew for her Treinta Fleurs Flip. This does just the trick to take down the enemy at hand, which in turn frees Usopp from being paralyzed by the foes’ effects. There are three different battle types, power, speed and technique
