In a lore based post today, on Blizzard’sOverwatch blog, the rumored new character Doomfist was teased in a fictional news brief. From the post:
However, after recent events in Numbani, it can now be confirmed that what occurred was an attack by the Talon organization with the express purpose of freeing one man: Akande Ogundimu, better known as Doomfist.
It seems Doomfist was the escapee in question and is now on the run after reclaiming his namesake gauntlets. If Doomfist is indeed the next playable character for the insanely popular hero shooter, it would bring the roster of heroes to a neat 25 and based on the writeup, we can expect him to pack a punch.
