Path of Exile 2had already been anticipated to be a massive success on Valve’s platform, and despite being a paid early access project that will later be available as free-to-play, it has met expectations to the delight of Grinding Gear Games.
According to data from SteamDB, Path of Exile 2’s release has been a major success on the platform: the Diablo-style game attracted over 459,000 players on launch day. This milestone doesn’t even account for the number of players on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, where the game is also available.
The impressive player count isn’t just a fleeting moment. At the time of writing, there are 344,219 people playingPath of Exile 2simultaneously. It’s the fourth most-played game in the last 24 hours and is also dominating sales charts: it’s the top-selling game on Steam according to official platform data.
If you’re looking for a new action RPG adventure set in a dark and captivating fantasy world, know that Path of Exile 2 won’t disappoint.
Even just the first act of the game hides a variety of stunning locations, including forgotten forests, claustrophobic underground tunnels, and towering Gothic cities. And when it comes to combat, especially if you play with magic-based classes, every attack feels like a visual delight.
Six classes are already available, along with their specializations, and the three acts included in the game offer about 25-30 hours of gameplay for those focusing on the campaign.
Many games would consider themselves fully ready for launch in the current state of Path of Exile 2’s early access. The inclusion of up to 50 bosses is yet another testament to how seriously this game is being developed for both the present and future.
