Persona 5 Tactica Releases Character Spotlight Trailers
Persona 5 Tactica showcases the characters and combat in various spotlight trailers.
Experience the thrilling world ofPersona 5 Tactica, an adventure RPG where you lead the formidable Phantom Thieves of Hearts against the Legionnaires. Choose your team of three heroes from a beloved roster of characters, each possessing unique abilities, talents, and personas to combat monstrous forces.
Developer ATLUS has been releasing some highlight trailers that give us a bit of footage to salivate over. Each of them focuses on the heart of what makes Persona great: the characters.
Incidentally, the first of the Persona 5 Tactica Character Trailers features three characters. Perfect for filling out your initial team.
Players take charge as Joker, the leader of the Phantom Thieves. He is armed with long-range weapons that target single enemies and deal moderate damage. Joker can unleash the power of the Phantom Judge, a special skill that damages and incapacitates enemies, even while guarding. Working alongside his persona, Arsene, he targets criminals and evildoers with an enhanced sense of Justice.
Next up is Morgana, the enigmatic cat-like being who is definitely not a cat (he’s a human!). Morgana specializes in flushing out enemies from cover with swift sweep attacks. He can also set up critical moves for your teammates. Players can also use Morgana’s Wings of Time voltage to inflict area-of-effect damage, effectively neutralizing foes in their hiding places. While Morgana may have been our main guide in Persona 5, this is a new and all-too-strange world that we’re in. It’s rife with Revolution, and for that, we’ll need someone more specialized to accompany us.
Persona 5 fans can now expect a new face this time around in Persona 5 Tactica. Prepare for the arrival of Erina, a mysterious revolutionary driven by a strong sense of justice. As worlds collide, she joins the Phantom Thieves to aid their cause. Both parties want to find out what the meaning of this “alternate reality” is, and how they can both restore things to order. As long as they join in on the fun with Erina and the rest of the Revolution Army.
Erina’s versatile weapons allow her to target multiple enemies, dealing significant damage. Deploy her voltage ability, Flag of Freedom, to mark the ground with a flag, rendering nearby enemies vulnerable and providing healing to allies. It looks as if the almighty Flag can rally allies to its cause, bolstering their resolve.
A Japanese-only trailer showcases Erina’s personality. She is voiced by Rie Takahashi, who has lent her voice to various video games such as Star Ocean: The Divine Force, Tower of Fantasy, and Genshin Impact. Erina is looking to be set up as a selfless leader. She is one who boosts the morale of her allies, despite any hardships that she herself may be experiencing.
In Persona 5 Tactica, customization is key to success. Adapt your characters to the ever-changing battlefield and maximize your chances of victory. Hopefully, we get more character spotlights so that we can highlight the rest of the wacky cast and crew. Early footage already confirms that almost the entire Persona 5 cast will be thrown into the mix. Confirmed so far are Ann, Ryuji, Yusuke, Makoto, Futaba, Haru. Goro is oddly missing from the promotional footage.
Persona 5 Tactica deviates from its source material with a cartoonish art style reminiscent of Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth. The game begins with the Phantom Thieves gathering at Cafe Leblanc, entering a new world through strange doors. They face an armed group but are saved by Elle the Revolutionary, who asks for their help in her “revolution.” Led by Joker, the Phantom Thieves fight to make corrupt adults repent. Morgana, a talking cat-like being, joins as a guide, and Elle, the leader of Rebel Corp, brings her cheerful personality.
The game introduces the TRIBANGLE mechanic, which is basically an enhanced version of an All-Out Attack. It also adds in the “1MORE” system which allows players and their parties to unleash additional actions one after the other. Persona 5 Tactica retains the charm, relationships, and struggle for justice of the Persona games. Flamboyant and memorable boss encounters and captivating dialogue await, accompanied by rock-focused music by Lyn and Toshiki Konishi.
Persona 5 Tactica offers a fresh twist to the series, allowing players to experience their favorite characters and Personas in a new way. Pre-ordering grants exclusive Personas, Orpheus Picaro and Arsene Picaro. Rewrite the rules of battle and unravel mysteries in this captivating new world. Persona 5 Tactica releases on major consoles, specifically the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Windows and Steam. It is set for launch on November 17th of this year.
