Just bought a Pro last week… Goddammit.
My biggest issue with VR is that you cannot game comfortably for any length of time. You either get motion sick, your unit fogs up over and over or you are sweating from the thing on your head. You also need to constantly recenter it. The immersion you get from VR is overshadowed by the things that pull you out of the immersion. If they are dropping the price to 199$ from the 599$ I paid last year, they are not selling these units. My guess is that if the gaming industry doesn’t get these units into gamers’ hands they will have lost millions and millions of dollars.

I imagine any first-person game would be cool in VR, especially if they do the motion controls right. Though, I think I might be more partial to a first-person King’s Field or other dungeon crawl, myself. The problem is getting it into an affordable price range, because right now it isn’t.
I’ve said it before, but I’m waiting for a pure-VR console before I get into this. You know, something I’d buy instead of a PS5, rather than in addition to one.
I’m still unsure about VR. I’ve heard good and bad things about it, and I don’t think it’s worth getting into yet. Even with all these AAA games being ported into VR, I don’t see the appeal with so few games.
Now if they made a Star Wars game like the one demo, that’d be awesome. Flying your choice of ship in massive space battles…
Hell, even No Man’s Sky would be cool in VR.
