Well, the day many Souls fans have eagerly anticipated may be at hand. Some image reveals today from an industry stream certainly seem to indicate that the long rumored next gen Souls game is a reality. There are no details at all outside of these stills, and the knowledge that it is on the PS4, developed by From Software and Sony’s Japan Studio with indication that Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls director Hidetaka Miyazaki is at the helm. The images definitely look from a Souls game, complete with iconic fog doors. The time period looks notably different from the medieval settings of past installments with the industry insider commenting on the existence of shotguns. Let the speculating begin, and in the meantime, enjoy these shots:

Look before posting, but yeah it looks legit and honestly if I had a ps4 I’d buy it…
If this is true, and it ends up being ps4 exclusive, then I’m thinking this may finally settle my Xbox one/PS4 dilemma!

it… gives me a victorian era feel, or maybe slightly before that, like the leading edge of the industrial revolution in europe sorta thing, i mean in one of those pics the character seems to be holding a shotgun/ blunderbuss… but it could be somethign else entirely so who knows.
still though looks cool!

Dark souls with werewolves and other beast type creatures would be cool
Before I was perfectly happy with my PS3 but now it only disappoints me. Look at what you’ve done From, you’ve ruined my PS3 and forced me to upgrade, you monsters!
I’m liking the sound of the name. Beast Souls sounds like it could be pretty atmospheric. Like in Demon’s Souls there was that risk of you becoming as bad as the demons you face and that might be back with this. Suffice to say, I am hype.

A Souls game set in a Victorian era sound amazing. I hope this this true, but I also hope that it’s also on PC because I don’t really want to buy a PS4. However, the rumors are this is a Sony Exclusive. (and that it’s a Hidetaka Miyazaki game which make it a must buy for me)
I just saw this on tumblr. The images look pretty awesome. Maybe something at E3 we shall see. At least I hope. Something Souls or close like Souls for next gen would be pretty sick.

Well before Dark Souls there was Project Dark. Beast Souls?Demon’s Souls II? I think that was ment to be made.I really hope this isn’t fake.
