PS4 & Xbox One Players Hopeful for Divinity Original Sin 2
Larian Studios, developer ofDivinity Original Sinhas never officially confirmed whether its sequel,Divinity Original Sin 2will be coming to the PS4 and Xbox One. Presently the game is inearly accesson PC with a sizeable portion of the game’s first act available for players to test and provide feedback on. As recently as yesterday however, the developer has provided a tease that the game making its way to consoles was at least still a possibility:

glad you liked the first! No news is not bad news for consoles. We’re just focusing on the PC version right now.
This echoes similar sentiments shared last year when the game was in itskickstarterandearly launchphase, but with many months gone by and gaming development so subject to changes, it’s encouraging to see it may still be on the table.
Divinity Original Sin was released for consoles a year after the release of the PC version, via theEnhanced Editionof the game and it made a seamless transition to the combat audience. We played it extensively and streamed several playthroughs and found the combat, exploration and multiplayer as engaging as the PC version.
There is an increasing desire for traditionally PC experiences on consoles and we are starting to see more migration and adaptation for the current gen of consoles. Games likeTorment: Tides of Numeneraare being developed simultaneously for PC and consoles, and in the case of Tormentwithout compromising or sacrificing anything.
We’re fans of both PC and console gaming here at the site, acknowledging the benefits both provide, but when it comes to games we get lost in like Divinity, there are few things better than curling up on the couch with a drink, a friend and a controller.

Editor at Fextralife. I look for the substantial in gaming and I try to connect video games to the emotions and stories they elicit. I love all things culture and history and have an odd fondness for the planet Jupiter. I think my dogs are pretty awesome too.
I would like to see this come to ps4 just as the first one did. I won’t be able to wait,I will have to get the pc version. all my friends have ps4 so please make it to consels
Like the others on this thread, Divinity Original Sin is the best game I have every played on PS4. Absolutely loved the story, riddles, turn based battles and the characters. I recommended it to many friends. I really do hope they release DOS II for PS4
I loved Divinity Original Sin on PS4 – got the platinum and all!
I really hope this makes it to PS4 as well
As long as they actually properly redesign the controls for both versions instead of that bastard hybrid system the first one used that was equally bad with either control option, that’s a good thing. An ideal world wouldn’t have exclusives.
I’m certainly hoping for a console release. Played the first one on PS4 & it became my current all-time favorite game!! I’ve tried dipping my toe into PC gaming, but my (admittedly) limited experiences have convinced me to just stick with consoles.
Has anyone reading this played the early access? How’s the music? I’m confident the game will be very good, but it’s going to be hard to live up to the first game’s score – I still hum tunes from it!!
