PS5 Surpasses 41.7 Million in Shipments
Sony reports that Playstation 5 has now more than 41.7 million ins shipments worldwide.
The numbers are quite staggering, with the combined hardware of PS4 and PS5 now reaching 56.5 million units sold. First-party titles account for 6.6 million which has remained the same compared to last FY. Digital downloads took a 7 percent dive, representing 72 percent of software sales.
A sort of accidental console exclusive at least for now is the recently released ofBaldur’s Gate 3. Having hadcomplications for the Xbox Series X|Sversion, the title is coming to PS5 first on September 6th. While Larian Studios are working on the Xbox version, PS5 console seems will gain the CRPG first. If swinging from buildings is more your style, there’s also Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 coming in October.
While there are still major releases coming this year such as Atlas Fallen this month,Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon,Assassin’s Creed MirageandLords of the Fallenin October, these are coming to more than one platform.
