Rockstar’sRed Dead Redemption 2Western atmosphereaction-adventureRPG title is highly anticipated by all. Players will take control ofArthur Morgan, an outlaw and a member of theVan der Linde gangduring 1899. While the “2” in the title makes it sound like it’s a sequel, it is actually a prequel toRed Dead Redemption.

InRed Dead Redemption 2Rockstar Games have included a new type of relationship that you can develop, we’re not talking about an NPC, but in fact your own steed becomes crucial to your adventure in the wild west. There are different types of horses you can obtain, some of them are through breaking which involves taming the wildest of stallions. In this guide learn all you need to know in finding the rarest horses, breaking, horse care and bonding.

Firstly, players will need to progress the main story until they can undertakeExit Pursued By A Bruised Ego. In this mission players will sell a work horse and possibly obtain a new one. Here they can look at what the stable wares are, as well as picking up their DLC horse if applicable (available with pre-order). I suggest to skip buying one for now and just use your only horse. Proceed with the mission and once done, come back toValentineto stock up on whatever you may need because we are going on an adventure.

There are 3 rare types of horses that are found in the wild.

If players are uncertain how to break a horse see Breaking Horses section. There will be a white coat Arabian Horse that is the best in the game until its color variants are available. Be sure to invest in horse reviver as this horse starting out without upgrades is a bit fragile. Be wary in towns as you might “accidentally” hit, knock or run civilians over.
