The final launch trailer for Redemption Reapers was unveiled today. The game is releasing later this month and is directed by Fire Emblem alumni Masayuki Horikawa.
It’s almost time to get reaping as the tactical RPG Redemption Reapers isreleasing this month. A new launch trailer dials up the emotion in this dark fantasy tile. The trailer shows Sarah, a rescued orphan raised by the Ashen Hawk Brigade attempting to comfort a newly rescued boy Naki. Now she fights as one of the brigades, becoming to saviour. We see the group fight in a tactical battle against the big threat called the Mort, a macabre evil that has massacred the Inissa Village.
It introduces some of the characters and previews the grid-based battlefields that characters will encounter. The gameplay footage is a mix of cutscenes, comic-styled dialogue and isometric combat. There’s also a peek at some animated follow-up attacks which end the Mort in style. Be prepared to cross swords with multi-armed evils by planning battle formations right for the job.
Redemption Reapers, a tactical game featuring the Ashen Hawk Brigade, as the last stand for humanity against the looming Mort Army. Not to be mistaken for angels, the members of this brigade are actually a band of mercenaries with shady and complicated pasts. The Mort are relentless creatures capable of devouring lands, have made their presence known and it falls upon the Redemption Reapers to overcome them. By saving humanity maybe they can save their own souls in the process.
The new trailer really hones in on characters being saved and trying to help others. Hopefully, newly saved Naki becomes a butt-kicking Mort machine after being trained by Sarah. Whether he’ll become a hindrance or prove useful to the band of fighters only time will tell.
Redemption Reaperswill be unleashing on February 22nd for PC, Switch and Playstation 4.
