Remedy Entertainment and Annapurna Interactive Announce Partnership On Control 2
Remedy Entertainment and Annapurna Interactive will work on several projects together. Remedy, known for series like Alan Wake and Max Payne, has announced an unexpected collaboration with the independent publisher that has released games like Stray and Cocoon.
The two companies will collaborate on various projects, including co-financing the development ofControl 2, as well as adaptingControl and Alan Wakeinto movies and TV series.
Control 2has been announced for quite some time, but little is known about the project. Remedy now clarifies that development is in full swing, but we will have to wait for more details about this sequel as well asCondor, the multiplayer game set in this universe.
In the statement, Remedy mentions that Annapurna’s co-financing, which will cover 50% of the development costs, will allow them to create the game they’ve always wanted to make.
Additionally, it has been confirmed thatControl 2will be published by Remedy: “We will also publishControl 2ourselves. When I look at all the games we have in development, the future of Remedy is incredibly exciting. You can trust that we will continue to deliver amazing video game experiences,” the company explained.
Regarding the multimedia adaptation of Remedy’s franchises, the statement is not very clear about what kind of productions we can expect.
It mentions that the Control and Alan Wake franchises will be brought to “cinema, television, and other audiovisual formats,” but it does not specify exactly what we can expect from this agreement.
