The Awakened King was announced to be coming to Remnant 2 on November 14th as the first expansion to the game. It will be available as part of the DLC bundle or can be picked up separately. The DLC brings a newArchetypetheRitualist, quests, dungeons and areas based on the world of Losomn providing roughly 3 to 5 more hours of gameplay. It will feature the ‘One True King’ who is the big baddy of this expansion. If you want to know more about what’s coming with theThe Awakened King DLCwe have a wholepreviewthat discusses its features.

Gunfire Games has also released a new trailer which focuses on the new Archetype the Ritualist. This new class has the prime perk, called Vile. Not only causes enemies to be more susceptible to status damage but spreads this status to other enemies once they die within a 15m range. A useful skill called Eruption explodes next to nearby enemies which stacks on the damage by dealing further damage to enemies experiencing status effects.

An AOE skill is shown in the footage called Miasma, this inflicts bleeding, burning, overloaded and corroded to all enemies within its vicinity. Deathwish on the other hand is a kiss and curse skill, applying an affliction on the player themself. They cannot be healed during this debuff and lose 300% health over 20 seconds. On the plus side, it boosts base damage by 10% through Lifesteal. This one has a bit of a hefty cooldown of 86.4 seconds.

The DLC’s new Archetype is shaping up to be a fun new way to play, although that debuff will be risky in certain fights, especially against the new boss.
