Resident Evil 4 Remake Surpasses 3 Million Copies Sold in Just Two Days
The Resident Evil 4 Remake has sold over 3 million copies within two days of its launch.
The survival horror title Resident Evil 4 Remake has made some amazing strides when it comes to sales. It has now surpassed 3 million copies sold, beating out the original. It’s not only its predecessor that it has outdone. BothResident Evil 2 Remakeand the recentResident Evil Village, which sold over 3 million units in the first four days of release. Capcom shared the news via an official press release with combined sales across platforms Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series and PC.
This makes the Resident Evil series now exceed a massive 135 million units sold since 1996. Steam charts have gained a new franchise record with 168,191 concurrent players peak at launch. The Monster Hunter still reigns supreme for Capcom, but Resident Evil 7 Biohazard still remains the franchise’s top-selling title with 11.7 million units sold. It will be interesting to see if this will reach Resident Evil 2 Remake numbers of 11.2 million according to Capcom’s Platinum titles.
