You also probably suck because your gear is for questing and easy content and the evil Group Finder won’t allow you to get into dungeons.
To help everyone get an easier start, here is some useful information compiled from Rift Forums, Rift Head, Magelo, Zam, and a bunch of blogs and smaller Rift sites
Earned by completing Carnage Quests, Instant Adventures, Hunt Rifts and Dailies in Ashora and Steppes of Infinity; defeating rares and completing Zone events in Kingsward, Morban, Ashora, Steepes of Infinity and The Dendrome.
Do not buy the World Vendor Gear Set. Instead save your stones for:

Earned by completing Random Daily Expert Dungeons and Chronicles (limited per day: 1 charge = 400 marks)
You can buy yourEmpyreal Slayer Armor from Urbo Sezono– This is a stat strong, upgradable set that thenactivates your Synergy Crystal bonus.
Earned by defeating raid level mobs and therefore gives you access to some of the best gear in game. Weekly cap of 4,600 marks (even if you use buffs, anything above cap will not be counted)
You can buy yourDesolate Armor from Nox Alar– This has the best stats and upgradable set (to “relic” gear with items that drop from Hardmode Encounters, Crucia and Regulos) that thenactivates your Raid Synergy Crystal bonuses.
You need 300 Hit/Thoughness to get into expert dungeons. Your first step towards it will be to CRAFT. Ask in guild for ranked crafters that can make you gear, you will want augments in them so be ready to shell out copious platinum to make it happen (sometimes 200-300p a piece)
