Rise of the Ronin Gets Behind the Scenes Look at 19thCentury Japan. Developer Team Ninja have released a new behind the scenes episode which looks at the making of Rise of the Ronin.

A series of episodes about the making of Rise of the Ronin has begun as Team Ninja dive into the setting of life in 1800s Japan. The video which appears on the Playstation Blog gives details about theAction-RPG’s three major cities Yokohama, Edo (which is today called Tokyo) and Kyoto. Players can experience each of these major places in an open-world experience, where East meets West. Both Western and Japanese cultures are causing conflict in some way or another.

The post also takes a look at how players will be getting around in Rise of the Ronin. Previously the developer has shared a few options. In this post, it shows a grappling rope which can be used to get to hard-to-reach areas or to pull enemies toward your position, closing the gap. Horseback can be used to travel long distances at a faster pace.

Also, it showcases the glider or Abikiru, based on the Japanese inventor Kunitomo Ikkansai’s original design. The blueprint of the glider is said to be the “oldest aeroplane blueprint in Japan” according to Team Ninja.

The main story won’t be the only engaging narrative to follow as there are side activities such as Sumo missions that allow players to get to know the locals better. These can also help to make dangerous areas more safe by taking down rogues.

Previously Team Ninja dived into Japanese-Western hybrids weapons such as the Fire Pipe. They also showed players will encounter character they can choose to help, creating bonds which will unlock further features.

Rise of the Roninwill rise on March 22ndas an exclusive for Playstation 5. Interested in knowing more about the upcoming Action-RPG? Check out ourdeep dive.
