Rise of the Ronin is outperforming Nioh and Nioh 2 in sales, according to Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo. This is surprising news given the lukewarm reception of the game, although we absolutely recommended it in ourRise of the Ronin Review.
Recently launched in March and published bySony Interactive Entertainment, thePlayStation 5exclusive game is experiencing a faster sales pace than the first two games in the Nioh saga, although specific numbers were not provided.
However, the latest game fromTeam Ninjadidn’t arrive in an easy period, as it was released amidst much activity, with the highly anticipatedFinal Fantasy VII Rebirthlaunching a few weeks before its release and also being exclusive to Sony’s console. Moreover, the game shared its launch date withDragon’s Dogma 2, a highly anticipated sequel.
Given this positive outcome, speculation has begun about the possible arrival of the title on PC in the medium or short term to expand the user base interested in acquiring the game.
