Risen Is Coming to Modern Consoles in 2023

TheAction-RPGgame first launched on Xbox 360 and PC. It takes players to the island of Faranga, home to a volcano and monstrous creatures. Armed with a sword and over 20 spells, players will defend the land. With a mix of tyranny, mystic rituals and dangerous creatures that terrorise the land, do you have what it takes to take them on?

The original title had some performance issues on the Xbox 360. These more modern platforms will give the game new life with some updated hardware and capabilities. The title won’t be coming current-gen consoles but will be backwards compatible, meaning Xbox Series X|S and Playstation 5 owners can embark on their journey in Faranga. The port will come with have a fully reworked UI with full gamepad support and offer a seamless open world experience. There will be no loading screens meaning its an “immersive open-world” with over 60 hours of gameplay according to the official THQ Nordic website.

THQ Nordic have a few games currently in mix, such as theGothic Remake. Currently, in development, it’s also an Action-RPG which will gain a modernised combat system as well as graphics updates.
